Question:

What was the situation of Jeremiah?

Answer:

Jeremiah was also among the people who were imprisoned. As soon as he was imprisoned, he was bound in chains. The captain of the guard called for Jeremiah and said, "The Lord your God has brought this disaster on this land, just as he said he would. For these people have sinned against the

Lord and disobeyed him. That is why it happened 40:03. He continued saying this to Jeremiah, "If you want to come with me to Babylon, you are welcome. I will see that you are well cared for. But if you don"t want to come, you may stay here. The whole land is before you—go wherever you like". So

Jeremiah lived in Judah with the few who were still left in the land. 1. Nebuzaradan was not a Jew, he was a gentile, he had the fear of God and respect for him. 2. If Jeremiah desired, he could have gone along with them to Babylon and lived in comfort but he choose to stay because of the love that he had for his land and cared about the poor people who were left behind. A true man of God will forsake wealth, riches, power and comfort life. He will live a content life saying, that God alone is more sufficient. Even Jeremiah lead such a life, how about you?

"Come, all of you who are gifted craftsmen. Construct everything that the Lord has commanded:
