With its origins dating back to the late 1960s, CCM resembles musical styles of popular-secular culture while retaining fundamental Christian values in lyrical content. This historical perspective of CCM marketing strategies, CCM music television, CCM and secular music, arts worlds within CCM, and the science of storytelling in CCM aims to provide readers with the context and understanding of the significant role that CCM plays in modern-day evangelism.

  • Jezebel’S War with America, May Be His Most Compelling
You already know the culture is going crazy, and at a pace that seems impossible to comprehend. But why? What’s happening? The answer is in this book. I thank God that my friend Dr. Michael Brown has dared to say what needs saying. And I thank God for everyone who reads this vitally important explanation of where we are and what we can and must do about it. —Eric Metaxas Author, Bonhoeffer, Miracles, and Martin Luther Having personally known Dr. Michael Brown for about four decades as a mentor and dear friend, I wholeheart- edly commend this new book that brings you inspira- tion and revelation for these turbulent times! Read it and please encourage others to digest the rich insights Dr. Brown is bringing to us in this defining moment of America’s history. —Larry Tomczak Best-Selling Author and Cultural Commentator I have the utmost love and respect for Dr. Michael L. Brown. I believe I have read and reread almost all of his books. I must say, his new release, Jezebel’s War With America, may be his most compelling. In every chapter he enters indisputable evidence in high defi- nition that eliminates all doubt. He lays out his case as an accomplished prosecutor, and when he is done, we, the jury (reader), find Jezebel is indeed at war with America. —John Kilpatrick Senior Pastor, Church of His Presence Shortly before hearing about Dr. Michael Brown’s book on Jezebel, I heard God in my heart say, “Study again the story of Jezebel.” Jezebel is a spirit so strong, embodied in a woman in the era of the Old Testament, spoken of by Jesus, and mentioned in the book of Revelation as revisiting the earth.

  • Be Careful Little Eyes Terissa Mendum
Be Careful Little Eyes Terissa Mendum It’s a slow fade, when you give yourself away. It’s a slow fade, when black and white have turned to gray. Thoughts invade; choices are made; a price will be paid, when you give yourself away. People never crumble in a day. It’s a slow fade. Be careful if you think you stand. You just might be sinking. These words come from the Casting Crowns song “Slow Fade”, used in the movie Fireproof. The words speak a distinct message about living pure lives. We hear much about living pure and distinctly different lives from the pulpit. Most of what we are taught relates to purity as it pertains to sexual purity, avoiding drugs and alcohol, and pornography. I’d like to take this idea of holy living a step further. Let’s take a look at how we can go all the way for Jesus in the area of movies and music. Movies, music, our dress, our conduct; how do these relate to home schooling? Why do we even need to talk about them? We don’t want to give ourselves away to the culture. But how do we keep from doing that? Oh be careful little eyes what you see Be careful little eyes what you see For the Father up above is looking down in love So be careful little eyes what you see! For the past several years, my heart has been burdened. My husband and I have been in a spiritual battle with the enemy over our oldest son and his media choices.* With the media driven culture in which we live, many of you may be experiencing the same battles.
