Marshall was born in Springfield, Ohio but spent most of his childhood in Georgia. He grew up in a Christian family of ministers on both sides. He had the opportunity to watch Mt. Paran, the church his father and grandfather helped pastor for twenty years in Atlanta, grow from 750 to over 10,000 members on multiple campuses. This gave him the chance to learn many things in regard to what a healthy church looks like. He watched and learned from his family what it really means to love, pastor, and disciple people. It was also a great way for him to experience his father develop a music department that at one point in time had over 800 volunteers involved.

Marshall’s grandfather pastored the Christian groups the Newsboys, and Mylon LeFevre and Broken Heart in the 80’s and 90’s which afforded him the chance as a boy to pursue his musical mentoring through these friends and the many different Christian bands that played at the church. This taught him many things in regard to contemporary music, production, and the music industry in general at a young age.

At eighteen, after graduating from Northside School of the Performing Arts, Marshall decided to pursue his passion for music in the secular market due to opportunities that opened up to him and has been employed as a fulltime musician in one or multiple ways ever since. After a number of years touring and working in the secular marketplace, he found himself feeling like a prodigal son longing for home. With the things of this world leaving him unfulfilled and empty, he felt God lead him to a crossroad and at that time Marshall re-dedicated his life to Jesus Christ and stepped down from his band.

Leaving the rock-n-roll lifestyle far behind, he relocated to Phoenix, Arizona, to reconnect with his family and to answer the call God had on his life. Feeling called to full-time ministry in 2001, he began his that journey when he accepted a position as worship leader at North Ridge Community Church in Cave Creek, Arizona. He received his Pastor's license in 2006 from International Ministerial Fellowship.

Since entering full time ministry, Marshall has had the opportunity to travel to places across the country and abroad like San Diego, Des Moines, Detroit, Nashville, Sacramento, Portland, Flagstaff, Prescott, Tucson, Show Low, and even as far away as Rio de Janeiro to be a part of leading worship.

He’s promoted concerts for, and played with, Christian bands including the Newsboys, Phillips, Craig & Dean, Peter Furler, , Brandon Heath, Jason Grey, JJ Heller, Gungor, John Mark McMillian, , Mark Schultz, Bebo Norman, , Shane & Shane, , , Shawn McDonald, , Leeland, Fusebox, and Ricardo Sanchez.

Marshall has been happily married to his wife Chris for almost 18 years and they have a 14-year-old son named Lucas, and a 9 year old daughter named Sophia. He has a heart for the believer and un-believer alike and believes the creative arts can be used in supernatural ways to encourage Christians and to also bring about life change that can lead the lost to Salvation through the saving grace and knowledge of the love Christ has for all of us.

• 2008 Replaced () in the role of Peter in the opera “Hero” that also starred ( & Newsboys) as Jesus, Rebecca St. James (Mary Magdalene), along with a cast of 20 for tour dates in the southwest.

• 1999-2002 Performed at over 200 corporate and private events throughout the Southwest as front man and lead singer for the “Encore Big Band”. • 1990-1996 Toured domestically and abroad as a singer/songwriter for Atlanta, Ga. based rock band “Fear Glory”. This band performed in over 1200 shows in 8 different countries with artists such as No Doubt, Bush, 311, Blues Traveler, Spin Doctors, Foreigner, Kansas, Quiet Riot, David Lee Roth, Ratt, Winger, Steve Morse & The Dixie Dregs, Peter Criss (Kiss), Molly Hatchet, 38 Special, The Outlaws, The Little River Band, Robin Trower , Edgar & Johnny Winter, Maynard Fergusen’s Big Band, as well as others. • 1987-89 Lead singer of Heavy Metal band Lethal Promise that performed over 150 shows ​ together around the Southeast.
