the SERVING HAITI TOUT S Jan-Feb 2010 S ’ Haiti’s Killer Quake While many of you are aware of the earthquake that struck Haiti, our ministry partners at Open Door Church are safe. Last Friday, Doug Holliday and I went to Haiti and together with Pastor Wiljean we identified our role and strategy to equip Open Door ministries to serve his country in this time of great sadness and loss. The devastation is horrific and troops are suggesting everyone evacuate Port au Prince. Haitians are making the trek to our ministry areas in Cap Haitien, the countryside villages of Bois de Lance, and Hinche. Our new church plant in Hinche, with very little resources not even a roof, are preparing themselves to offer refuge. The needs will be great and will grow in the coming months. There is food and fuel shortages, children orphaned, the need for medical attention, and for hope. Join us as we bring aid resources to the Open Door churches and help prepare them to embrace these survivors. Our opportunity to meet Haiti’s physical, emotional and spiritual need is now. We are coordinating efforts with Cap Haitien Health Network, Living Hope Ministries, Missionary Flights International, and Kids Against Hunger, Clean the World, Pure Water for All, and WorldWide Village to bring boxes of dried foods, water treatment kits and relief supplies to Open Door. Please help! Visit opendoorhaiti.org and donate. Thank you.
