    LANREATH PARISH COUNCIL Minutes of Parish Council Meeting held on 16th October 2018 Present: Mr R Pugh – Chair (County Councillor), Mr P Seaman, Mrs E Lee, Miss J Tamblyn, Mr J Williams, Miss S Cave, Mrs R Karensa, Mr D Pugh, Mr P Bartram, Mr P Meatyard, PCSO Cocks, Mrs L Rigler (Clerk) The Chair welcomed everyone to the Parish Council Meeting. 1. Apologies None. 2. Public Participation Attending members of the public were welcomed to the meeting. Police – PCSO Cocks reported that from 1st to 30th September there had been no crime within the parish. He advised that parishioners remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity. Numerous patrols have been conducted around the Parish and all was found to be in order. Shop – Mrs S Rawlins reported that the hot water has been restored. Thanks to the Parish Council for addressing this. Village Hall – Mrs S Rawlins reported that the recent car boot sale had raised £310 towards the extension. It is intended to donate £40 to the Air Ambulance. Fundraising will now stop until the New Year. Over £1000 has been raised with just two fund raising events. Potholes – Mrs Rawlins reported that, as a regular cyclist, there are shallow potholes along the B3359 where it should be safe for cyclists to ride. 3. Minutes of meeting held on 18th September 2018 Mr P Seaman proposed that the minutes be accepted. This was seconded by Miss S Cave. The Chair signed the minutes. 4. Matters Arising Maintenance work around the village / Gardening Club – it was reported that this is progressing well with regular meetings.

PCSO Cocks stated that the other two vehicles were not parked illegally and no action can be taken. c) Churchyard Benches – The clerk stated that both benches in the open churchyard are privately owned and maintained. d) Highways Scheme – It was confirmed the proposal of yellow lining in the area of Wilton Terrace/West End has been removed from the scheme. e) The Green Car Park Closure – It was noted that the annual closure had successfully taken place on the 1st July 2019. 5) 23691 PUBLIC PARTICIPATION The Police report was read stating that during the month of July fifteen crimes had been committed in the Parish.

    TRANSPORT INFORMATION FINANCIAL HELP MAY BE AVAILABLE TO COVER COSTS 2 DUCHY COLLEGE TRANSPORT INFORMATION ABOUT TRANSPORT We have an extensive route network covering: - Barnstaple - Bideford - Bodmin - Bude - Callington - Camelford - Gunnislake - Holsworthy - Launceston - Liskeard - Looe - Millbrook - Okehampton - Plymouth - Saltash - St Austell - Tavistock - Torpoint - Torrington - Wadebridge Our services run on fixed routes along main roads in Devon & Cornwall - see the timetables on pages 4 - 7.* *Please Note The college reserves the rights to alter times if appropriate, and to withdraw a student’s right to travel on buses if they misbehave or cause any damage to any vehicle or if not in possession of a VALID bus pass. www.duchy.ac.uk 3 TRANSPORT GUIDELINES - The cost for use of the daily transport for all non-residential students can be paid for per term or in one payment in the Autumn term to cover the whole year - Autumn, Spring & Summer terms. - Bus passes will be issued on payment and must be available at all times for inspection. Payments to be made to Cornwall College. - Bus passes must be shown to the drivers everytime you get on the bus. Buses try to keep to the published times, please be patient if the bus is late it may have been held up by roadworks or a breakdown, etc. If you miss the bus you must make your own way to college or home. We will not be able to return for those left behind. - SEAT BELTS MUST BE WORN. - All buses arrive at Duchy College, Stoke Climsland campus by 8.50am. - Please ensure that you apply to Duchy College for transport.
