SBF to build on its accomplishments over the past two years

A NEW COUNCIL WAS INAUGURATED AT THE EIGHTH ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF THE SINGAPORE BUSINESS FEDERATION (SBF) THIS JUNE.

Twenty corporate leaders from business chambers, trade associations and businesses representing the Singapore economy were installed as SBF Council Members for the 2010-2012 term.

The past two years have been an exciting and fruitful period for SBF. The Federation witnessed a signifi cant increase in member participation, attesting to the value SBF brings to members with its programmes, services and business facilitation efforts. SBF is also gaining increasing recognition as Singapore’s apex chamber among its business partners, as well as local and foreign chambers and government agencies. This October, SBF and the Economic Development Board are jointly presenting the seventh edition of Global Entrepolis @ Singapore to spur business collaboration and internationalisation.

Bridging communities, exploring new markets and creating business opportunities will continue to be the Federation’s raison d’etre. We will engage local and foreign governments on business policy issues, help members network, organise exchanges with other countries and cultivate business contacts worldwide.

As 2010 comes to a close, there is reason to celebrate success.
