Of course, Chinatown is not short on culture either. On this tour you will visit the Yong Gallery, where you will learn all about the ancient art of calligraphy. Admire a Master Calligrapher demonstrate how to transform any name, quotation or aphorism into striking Chinese characters on a handsome red fan, yours to take home as a souvenir.

Enjoy a traditional dinner of the finest Chinese cuisine at a local restaurant before rambling off into the Night Market’s narrow lanes. Here, put your haggling skills to the test at any of the many picturesque stands.

After that, the time has arrived for an exciting ride on a trishaw through Chinatown’s labyrinthine alleys towards Clarke Quay. Once there, hop off the trishaw and onto another unconventional form of transport: a bumboat. Cruise the for a magnificent vantage point of the city’s night lights, restored shop houses, cosmopolitan skyscrapers and even its financial district, colonial buildings and the renowned statue. It will be a night to remember.

Singapore Island Tour – Full Day Tour (Sightseeing, tours & )

Description: Gain a fascinating insight into the tribulations endured by Singapore during the Second World War with this comprehensive tour of its key historical sites and monuments. The excursion culminates with a visit to one of the island’s most contemporary attractions, the extraordinary .

Your tour begins at the , which commemorate the lives of both POWs and civilian internees who survived the Japanese occupation of the island in World War II. The Changi Chapel is a symbolic replica of the original chapel found in the , which notoriously housed about 3,000 inmates in a space designed for 600. The chapel, which was built by Allied POWs using simple tools and found materials, is a poignant reminder of the unbroken spirit of the detainees. Next the tour heads to Bright Hill Temple, a famous Chinese place of ancestral worship and crematorium. Finally the tour culminates with a visit to the Gardens by the Bay and the opportunity to explore one of the island’s most cutting-edge developments. This astonishing park, boasting over 250,000 rare plants and 18 ‘Supertrees’, stakes a strong claim to being a modern wonder of the world.

The annual Ching Ming Festival, also known as Tomb Sweeping Day will be celebrated in April 2017. This festival will be celebrated at Bright Hill Temple for 10 days prior and 10 days after the actual festival date. Due to heavy traffic conditions during this period at Bright Hill Temple, we will replace this stop with the Tampines Chinese Temple.
