Saturday SW Prime Service Begins Oct. 28th! Beginning October 28th, SW Prime is expanding to include service on Saturdays! Those wishing to use the new Saturday SW Prime service will be able to travel anywhere in Eden Prairie, Chanhassen, Chaska, Carver, and to Southdale Mall. Hours of operation will be 8 am to 6 pm with the last ride request taken at 5:30 pm. Anyone transferring to or from a Metro Transit bus at Southdale on Saturdays will be able to do so easily! If you have a Go-To card, Metro Pass, U-Pass or College Pass present your card to your SW Prime driver upon boarding and let them know which route you are transferring to or from. If you pay for your bus ride with cash, ask for a transfer, which will be good for your SW Prime ride. If paying for your SW Prime ride with cash or credit, you will also be responsible for the full bus fare on Metro Transit’s buses. SW Prime’s Monday-Friday service hours will remain unchanged, and weekday service will not include Southdale Mall. For more information and pricing, visit swtransit.org. Upcoming Wi-Fi Changes SouthWest Transit is currently working with our wireless provider to address the slowdowns and overages we’ve been experiencing on our buses, and we hope to have some changes coming in November. What will these changes mean for you? • No More Streaming: Streaming services, such as Netflix, Hulu, Pandora, etc., will no longer be allowed. These services slow down internet speeds for others on the bus and use a large amount of data. • A more secure connection. • A more reliable Wi-Fi experience. We are hopeful that the upcoming changes will result in a better connection for those using our Wi- Fi services for emailing, homework, or work-related purposes. Be sure to watch for notices on the buses and at swtransit.org regarding these changes.
