February 22, 2019 Rochester Golf & Country Club MYRON FRANS DISTRICT 25 COMMISSIONER OF MINNESOTA MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET SENATOR Myron Frans was appointed Commissioner of Minnesota Management and Budget (MMB) DAVID SENJEM by Governor Mark Dayton in January 2015. As Commissioner of MMB, Myron is the chief financial officer, the chief accounting officer, the state controller, and head of human resource management and employee insurance for over 50,000 REPRESENTATIVE state employees, and in charge of collective bargaining on behalf of the state. DUANE SAUK (25A) Before joining MMB, Myron served as the Commissioner of Reve- nue for four years. While at Revenue, his nearly three decades of tax law expertise as well as strong business and managerial expe- REPRESENTATIVE rience helped Governor Dayton overhaul the state’s tax system to make it more fair and equitable. DUANE QUAM (25B) Before joining the Dayton Administration, Myron served as presi- dent of Leeds Precision Instruments, a manufacturing and distribut- ing company in Golden Valley, Minnesota. Myron has been a tax attorney in private practice for 27 years, most recently as a senior tax partner at the law firm of Faegre and Benson in Minneapolis, now Faegre Baker Daniels.
