JoyOwn the of boating…

t’s one thing to love boating. It’s something quite Idifferent to love everything about owning a boat. Everyone who has owned a boat knows the numerous responsibilities that go along with it: cleaning, fixing, maintaining, towing or docking, storing, winterizing, etc., and, of course, there is insurance to buy, licenses to obtain and various other financial obligations. In recent years, boat clubs have been popping up all over the country, offering members all the benefits of Of course to many boaters hanging out on the dock having a boat with none of the hassles. So, what is a passionate boater to do… One alternative is to “own” the joy of boating by joining The good news: boat club members simply show up a boat club. at the dock, climb in a boat and go. At the end of the day, they fill the boat with gas, climb out of the boat, and head home. So, they avoid all the costly and time-consuming chores involved with ownership, such as: cleaning, repairing, maintaining and storing. Boat club members do not have to worry about buying insurance, paying taxes, or leasing dock space. In most cases, the monthly membership fee is cheaper than a typical monthly dock lease.

Many boat clubs offer other benefits as well, including regularly scheduled social events, parties and year-round gatherings, boat training and safety workshops, even free fishing seminars.

While some small boat clubs operate out of one or two locations, some of the larger and more established boat clubs provide members access to fleets of boats at various marinas across the nation.
