RADY JCC 2018-2019 ANNUAL REPORT 5 Financials

The complete 500 - Five Donald Street Winnipeg, Manitoba R3L 2T4 financial statements, Tel: (204) 284-7060 including notes to the Fax: (204) 284-7105 financial statements www.bookeandpartners.ca and the independent auditors’ report, are available upon request by contacting Report of the Independent Auditors on the Summary Financial Statements the Rady JCC Finance To the Directors of office. The Y.M.H.A. Jewish Community Centre of Winnipeg, Inc.

Opinion The accompanying summary financial statements, which comprise the summary statement of financial position as at August 31, 2019 and the summary statements of operations and changes in fund balances for the year then ended, are derived from the audited financial statements of The Y.M.H.A. Jewish Community Centre of Winnipeg, Inc. (the "Organization") for the year ended August 31, 2019. We expressed a qualified audit opinion on those financial statements in our report dated December 3, 2019.

In our opinion, the summary financial statements are a fair summary of the audited financial statements, on the basis described in the Management's Responsibility for the Summary Financial Statements section of our report. However, the summary financial statements are misstated to the equivalent extent as the audited financial statements of the Organization for the year ended August 31, 2019.

Summary Financial Statements The summary financial statements do not contain all the disclosures required by Canadian accounting standards for not-for-profit organizations. Reading the summary financial statements and the auditors' report thereon, therefore, is not a substitute for reading the audited financial statements and the auditors' report thereon.

The Audited Financial Statements and Our Report Thereon We expressed a qualified audit opinion on the audited financial statements in our report dated December 3, 2019. The basis for our qualified audit opinion was due to the Organization deriving part of its revenues from the general public in the form of contributions and fundraising the completeness of which is not susceptible of satisfactory audit verification. Accordingly, our verification of these revenues was limited to the amounts recorded in the records of the Organization and we were not able to determine whether any adjustments might be necessary to contributions and fundraising and excess of revenues over expenses and cash flows from operations for the years ended August 31, 2019 and 2018, current assets as at August 31, 2019 and 2018 and changes in fund balances as at September 1 and August 31 for both the 2019 and 2018 years.

Management's Responsibility for the Summary Financial Statements Management is responsible for the preparation of a summary of the audited financial statements on the following basis:

The summary financial statements include the major totals and subtotals from the related complete financial statements dealing with matters having a pervasive or otherwise significant effect on the summary financial statements.

Auditors' Responsibility Our responsibility is to express an opinion on whether the summary financial statements are a fair summary of the audited financial statements based on our procedures, which were conducted in accordance with Canadian Auditing Standard (CAS) 810, "Engagements to Report on Summary Financial Statements".
