(Prof. Economics) at Shehzan University, as the Guest of Honor. The very event would have certainly been rendered incomplete if it were not for the revered judges to have joined the auspicious occasion. They were divided into two categories: 1. Panel of Urdu Judges comprising Mr. Mazhar Ahmed Khan, Mr. Shah Nehal and Mr. Mohsin Langove. 2. Panel of English Judges comprising Ms. Salma Talib, Mr. Ali Khan Mangi and Mrs. Shamama Shujaat. In all splendor and magnificence, the event commenced with the name of Almighty Allah followed by a contest enriched with zeal, order, exuberance, keen vigor and a reverberant display of eloquence and audacity. No doubt, the event was itself the parable of triumph. However, it was not at all unexpected to find that the speeches revealing enigmatic and firm emotions of the students were in actuality of sketching a fine line between the idea of evil and good. To say that this contest convinced many to see the world from different aspects would verily be an understatement. It would also not be wrong to admit that it was quite dilemmatic for the judges to decide the best among the lot. What with such eloquent speakers, of which every single one of them touched the pinnacle of perfection! Nonetheless, the choices of the English speakers were given their respective awards. The prestigious English winners were Omar Noman of Altaf Agha Room as first, Uroosa Faisal of Gatron Room as second and Eesha Pervaiz of Basrai Room as the third. Rida Abbas of Sapphire Room got the special prize. Among Urdu speakers, Abdul Basit of Basrai Room got the first position, Wania Ali of Altaf Agha the second and Arsalna Nizami of Masood Naqvi Room got the third position. Blood Donation Camp Our Holy Prophet (S.A.W.) has said, 'Every good act is a sadaqah (charity).' These are the words which encourage the Muslim youth today to perform good deeds to earn Allah's pleasure. An example can be taken from the Blood Donation Camp held on Thursday, November 16, 2017. In this event, students were requested to donate blood for a noble cause. The purpose for this camp was to collect blood for transfusion to patients who have severe cases or for medical procedures. The idea of saving lives itself motivated the student to generously offer their own blood. This blood camp was organized in collaboration with Indus Hospital and was supervised by Public Service Initiative Committee of the college. Indus Hospital came into being in 2005 and since then it has served the population of Karachi with its state-of-the-art equipment and the best health care the city has to offer. During this campaign, necessary instructions as well as guidance for the students were provided by Dr. Sara Zafar from the hospital. The activity continued the whole day with internationally recommended standards in which around hundred students as well as faculty members participated with great enthusiasm and spirit of social service. The donors were also offered the test for blood group, hepatitis B, C, HIV, malaria syphilis and hemoglobin on the donated blood to ensure the quality of the samples.
