Los Angeles Starstruck 5-Days the Perfect Balance of Learning, Fun and Culture Los Angeles Starstruck 5-Days The Perfect Balance of Learning, Fun and Culture In this Los Angeles Starstruck program, students are encouraged to realize their American dream of a future as a movie star, film maker, or simply a more educated fan of television. Explore where the stars have risen among the dazzling sights of Los Angeles, including the Hollywood Sign, Walk of Fame, Sunset Boulevard and Rodeo Drive. Visit Grand Central Market for dinner to experience what it looks like now and possibly pick up on how it has changed since it opened in 1917, along with the shifting population of downtown Los Angeles. Creating excitement all over the world, see why Los Angeles has set imaginations wild with its entertainment for over a century. Inspired by the design of a European opera house, Dolby Theatre is one of the top entertainment venues in the world today. Get a chance to see the Oscar statuette and images captured from awards ceremonies as well as the stage of the America Idol finalists. The Warner Bros. Studio tour changes every day based on which studio lots are currently in use. Try out an interactive soundstage, visit backlot sets, see props and enjoy spotlights such as the Batmobile Collection and play Quidditch in front of a green screen like the actors in the Harry Potter movies. On a “Journey Through Time in Film” narrated walking tour, learn the historical landmarks in popular Hollywood films. See the filming locations of La La Land, Ghostbusters, Transformers and more. Explore the diverse art communities of Los Angeles with a real working artist to learn local history, techniques and see artwork. For students curious about pursuing film in college, the guided tour of USC School of Cinematic Arts presents the state-of- the-art facilities that create opportunities to practice film, television, and other media arts. Further the experience with an Introduction to Film Lecture, touching on the basics of cinematography, editing and sound. Try out acting in an interactive workshop in Los Angeles, where students learn the basics of dramatic arts and gain confidence – an essential skill they can apply in everyday life. For more fun and to experience the final product behind years of acting study, students get to see a live theater performance in North Hollywood. Search for the surprising secrets of Hollywood on an exciting scavenger hunt, picking up movie industry trivia along the way. For most, a career in the Los Angeles entertainment industry is the result of years of dedicated practice, hard work and passion. Go up to Griffith Observatory to stare through a telescope and see what stars align. Maybe the planetarium lights a path into the stars, above the flashing lights of Los Angeles. Or, perhaps it’s the light of the Hollywood Sign that’s calling, inspiring big dreams, starstruck by the movie screen. On the last day, step out onto Venice Beach to unwind. Stroll along the boulevards and piers of Santa Monica. Imagine it’s a day off from working on set. Reflect on the experience and let it all settle in. Our Broadway Hollywood series has also been rescheduled for dates yet to be determined. For more information about these exhibitions, please call our box office at (323) 308-6389. Please note that Box Office is currently closed, but we will respond to all voicemails. Please leave a message with your name, phone number and the headline of the show. If you are a Pantages season subscriber, please contact their Box Office directly at (866) 755-2929. We appreciate your understanding at this difficult time and will let everyone know as more information becomes available. The Dolby Theatre, located in Hollywood, California, is the permanent home of the Oscars and various other events. Tours of the Dolby Theatre are held several times a day and last about 30 minutes each. In this post, we review our recent experience on Dolby Theatre excursions. Theoretically, a tour of the Dolby Theatre can be quite cool. While not having nearly as much history as other venues near it in Hollywood as Grauman's Chinese Theatre, El Capitan Theatre, and Cinerama dome, there is great potential interest here. First, there is his transition from the Kodak Theatre to the Dolby Theatre. There is architecture as well. The interior design of the Dolby Theatre is impressive; As it was designed to be the permanent home of the Oscars, it was generously designed, with inspiration from European opera houses.
