Delegations a) Matt Johnson, UrbanSolutions Planning & Land Development Consultants Inc. re: Sign Variance Application - 270 Hunter Road Matt Johnson speaks to the sign variance application, noting that the variance is to permit a sign face of 362 ft2 and that they have already received approval from Niagara Region and the Ministry of Transportation. CARRIED YES: Councillor Bothwell, Dunstall, Freake, Kadwell, Ritchie, Sharpe, Vaine, Vardy and Mayor Jordan b) Sean Polden, re: Canalside Soda Company Sean Polden is in attendance to speak to Canalside Soda Company, noting that the business is a farm business that serves flavourful, small batch craft soda beverages with locally sourced ingredients. Canalside Soda began at St. Catharines Farmers Market and proved to be a success, rapidly growing and participating in six (6) Farmers Markets in a week. Canalside Soda Company intends on using traditional agricultural preservation methods to extend the life of produce grown on homeland to create a “Made in Grimsby” product. Sean notes the company’s next steps are to bring production and bottling in-house, open a Soda Shop and move production to an additional building next to the farm property. Brian would like to work with the Town regarding his stop order and that he be permitted to leave the fill on the property. C-20-285 Moved by Councillor Vardy; Seconded by Councillor Kadwell; Resolved that the delegation from Brian Drost, 442 Sobie Road, be received.
