Farewell Bob Ward Remembering Raymond Dhue Members New Toys New Barber 2010 Format Next Survivor Series Well here it is February 15, 2011, Where does the time go. It is with great sadness that we say good-bye to one of our own, again. Bob Ward was a great Friend and Brother and he passed away doing what he loved the most. We will all miss your friendly, helpful, loving per- sonality. Till we meet again. The BIG ride 2010, which was a history making event, was the Scooter Ride, spearheaded by none other than ―Big Daddy‖ Ed Dacus. SO WE THOUGHT . What a great job and a GREAT ride. That was last April. But the REALLY BIG RIDE of 2010 was the November Scooter Ride. Thanks again to all the people involved and a special Colonel Bob thanks to Jeffie Dacus Ed’s Mother, Sherri Dacus, Les- lie Dacus Ed’s daughter-in-law. The Breakfast was OUT-OF-THIS-WORLD AGAIN. NOVEM- BER 13, 2010 turned out to be one of the coldest and rainiest days of the month. But the response was overwhelming. You may know 79 people attended the April event with 49 riders were rolling. The November event brought out 112 people and a total of 97 bikes, 50 of which braved the elements and actually rode the three stop shop tour laid out by Big Daddy and Shane Dorton.

MONTANA BMW RIDERS NEWSLETTERNEXT MEETING CLUB CHARTER Drummond MEMBERSHIPS : Wagon Wheel BMWMOA #155 SUNDAY May 19 AMA #6830 1:00 PM -HOME OF THE NEXT BEST RIDE- PRESIDENT'S CORNER Don’t know about you but when I was growing up ‘Springtime in the Rockies’ was a term denoting end of winter, warmth, sunshine, flowers, blue bird days and re- newal. Something you were excited about and looked for- ward to. What a bunch of hooey! Especially not appropri- ate for motorcyclists looking for some warmth and con- sistency for their early riding days. Not happening. It would seem appropriate to have a ground hog pulled out of a motorcycle tank bag about this time of year to tell us what’s coming in the next 30 days. The word unpredictable comes to mind! Now, after sev- eral years of this irreverent spring weather behavior, I’m using this time of year as a mark- er. A marker to acknowledge good riding is close, so close. It’s a good time to stop procras- tinating; get those tires ordered, commit to a safety class, get the bike maintenance done and finish the research for summer trips. Ok. So for Springtime in the Rockies, some of our member’s first trip out the door will be this Saturday for First Satur- day Breakfast, May 4th. In Missoula Saturday even looks like a good day to throw a leg over and go somewhere after breakfast. Breakfast in Missoula will be at the Pressbox on E. Broadway at 9:00 am. Helena has a new venue….the Hardware Café in Montana City; time is 9:30 am.
