9.1. to 27.3.2016 PABLO PICASSO: THE VOLLARD SUITE - SELECTED PRINTS pedestrian underpass Ajdovščina Pablo Picasso, one of the most famous artists of all time, was dedicated not only to painting, but also to printmaking. The current Ljubljana exhibition of his work brings together the prints from the Vollard Suite, a set of 100 etchings considered by art critics as one of the 20th century's most important series of prints. Recurring themes explored by Picasso in the Vollard Suite include bullfighting, myths, and eros.

In the period of the 20th century, Ljubljana transformed from a city of horses and carriages to an urban capital.

20.6.2015 to 1.9.2016 Coming Home In cooperation with seventeen Slovene museums, the National Museum of Contemporary History in Ljubljana prepared an exhibition project entitled Coming Home dedicated to stories and memory of the 100th anniversary of the beginning of the Isonzo front (1915) and the 70th anniversary of the end of WW2 (1945).

Mächtig is considered to be one of the most important figures in Slovenian industrial design.
