Visitors to the fair can view, examine and trade in collectors' items from all over the world. GALLERIES 8.11.2015 to 28.9.2016 EXHIBITION HIGHLIGHTS OF THE ACADEMY'S ART COLLECTION Recctorate of the University of Ljubljana, Kongresni trg square 12 The Academy's collection is the third-richest public art collection in Ljubljana. Its body of graphic works of art is especially valuable as no other institution keeps these paintings. 10.12.2015 to 29.3.2016 BLACK-WHITE/DARK-LIGHT Gallery Mestni trg, Mestni trg square 18 Exhebition present some of the most important artists in black and white technique. 9.1. to 27.3.2016 PABLO PICASSO: THE VOLLARD SUITE - SELECTED PRINTS pedestrian underpass Ajdovščina Pablo Picasso, one of the most famous artists of all time, was dedicated not only to painting, but also to printmaking. The current Ljubljana exhibition of his work brings together the prints from the Vollard Suite, a set of 100 etchings considered by art critics as one of the 20th century's most important series of prints. His sculptures present different methods of torture and abuse of people.The exhibition consists of impressive sculptures and objects made of wood, rope, metal and stone. 2.3. to 4.4.2016 ŽIVKO MARÚŠIČ: THE HIDDEN SIDE OF THE MOON Bežigrajska galerija 2 Živko Marušič's selection of drawings, sketchbooks, collages, paintings, prints and figurative sculptures from 1977 to 2014. 3.3. to 27.5.2016 THROUGH LJUBLJANA STREETS - TRAFFIC IN LJUBLJANA IN THE 20TH CENTURY Ljubljana Castle The exhibition features forty photographs by numerous renowned Slovenian photojournalists, giving visitors an opportunity to witness the image of our capital city right back to the times when tramways and carriages alone filled the city streets. DANCE 1.1. to 17.12.2016 DANCE EVENINGS AT LJUBLJANA CASTLE Ljubljana Castle These monthly social dance evenings scheduled on Saturdays throughout the year except in July and August are held in the unique surroundings of Ljubljana Castle. King, Robben Ford etc. 2.4.2016 VLATKO STEFANOVSKI TRIO (MACEDONIA/SERBIA) - JAZZ ROCK 21.00 Cvetličarna Vlatko Stefanovski, whose unique style of guitar playing blends rock and jazz with elements of traditional Macedonian music, has been hailed by connoisseurs as one of the world's best rock guitarists. 21.3.2016 JAZZ TOMAŽ GAJŠT 20.00 Zoo Club Free admission Tomaž Gajst and his band will perfom jazz music. 22.3.2016 JELENA POPRŽAN 20.00 Cankarjev dom (cultural and congress centre) After thrilling performances with acts like Catch Pop - String Strong and Madame Baheux Jelena Popržan is coming to Ljubljana. 28.3.2016 MATIJA DEDIĆ, GORAN RUKAVINA AND RATKO DIVJAK 20.00 Zoo Club Free admission Matija Dedić nkeyboards, Goran Rukavina, double bass and Ratko Divjak, drums will perfom jazz music. 29.3.2016 ZLATKO KAUČIČ DUOS W, BARRY GUY & MAYA HOMBURGER 20.00 Cankarjev dom (cultural and congress centre) Recipient of the Prešeren Fund Award, Slovenian’s most coveted prize for artistic achievements, Zlatko Kaučič will perform with legendary double bass player, composer and leader of big jazz bands, Barry Guy and violinist Maya Homburger.
