2016 - LEROUGE’S KNACK FOR THE CLUTCH In an all-around impressive sophomore campaign, Tom Lerouge exhibited his ability to come up with the clutch base hit when needed on multiple occasions throughout the year. In a span of two weeks, Lerouge managed three game-winning hits.

Lerouge First, Lerouge uncorked a walk-off double in a March 13 contest against Cal Poly to claim the rubber game. In Las Vegas on March 22, Lerouge broke a ninth-inning tie with a go-ahead single down the left field line as GCU went on to defeat UNLV. Back home two days later, Lerouge opened conference play by delivering a walk-off single in the 11th inning as the Lopes downed Utah Valley.
