2019 History Symposium Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of Grand Canyon National Park

February 20 to 23, 2019 South Rim, Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona

Schedule of 26 History Symposium presentations, Keynote special evening presentations, Author Talks, Oral History Interviews, Featured Presentations, Tours, and Social Reception, where Acting Superintendent Woody Smeck will welcome everyone to GCNP.

Wednesday, February 20, 2019 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm Santa Fe Room,

Social Reception & Check-in

A gathering of the attendees, presenters, and volunteers to come together to share stories, Grand Canyon adventures, see old friends, and make new ones before we kickoff three full days at the grandest place on earth.

There will be appetizers with no-host beer and wine available.

Early check-in to this, the 5th History Symposium, will continue during the reception.

Facilities: Shrine of the Ages for morning History Presentations, afternoon Author Talk and Oral History Interviews, and evening Keynote Addresses. Tours and activities will be held around the GC Village or nearby areas. Some of these will be indoors and some outdoors.
