A fabulous route heading north into the National Park on very quiet lanes. It heads up Cafes/Pubs the before descending into Austwick and back after crossing the A65. - Settle Short cut version via the beautiful hamlet of Thirteen Café Bar (01729 824356) Feizor that misses the A65. Talbot Arms (01729 823924) A: From the Settle Market Square turn left and head - Austwick along the B6480/Church Street, stay on this for 750meters as you go over the River Ribble. Turn Game Cock Inn (01524 251226) right after the Swimming pool onto Stackhouse Lane. - Helwith Bridge B: You follow the narrow Stackhouse lane as it climbs Helwith Bridge Inn (01729 860220) up the Ribble valley passing through Stainforth.. - Giggleswick (A65) C: After 5.5km you reach a T junction, opposite the The Craven Arms Quarry and you turn left. Follow this narrow road to Austwick: CAUTION! as fast narrow descent. (01729 825627)

D: There is a short cut option that turns left just over 1km from the T junction. Look out for a track (Bark House Lane) on your left hand side by a clump of trees. Follow this Bridleway for 2km up and down into Feizor: CAUTION ON THE DESCENT! Follow the road out of Feizor and then first left and then left again onto the B6480 and back into Settle.

E: After 4km you reach Austwick, past the Game Cock pub and turn left at the village green triangle, signposted Settle and past the Traddock. You soon reach the A65 crossroads and go straight over: CAUTION AS FAST TRAFFIC!

F: Follow this road signed Lawkland (at 1km) and then to a crossroads in 4km. Carry straight on signed Settle 2 ¼ mile.

G: After a fast twisting descent you ride under the railway bridge and come to the A65. CAUTION FAST TRAFFIC! You cross the A65 onto Brackenber Lane by the Old Station Pub.

H: Follow Brackenber Lane and straight over the mini roundabout onto Station Road and back unto Settle past the Train Station and turning left to the market square.
