John Doxakis ranked 27th in the nation in ERA (2.06), 27th in strikeouts (115) and 35th in WHIP (1.01). Kasey Kalich ranked 23rd in the nation in saves with 12. POST SEASON STREAK CONTINUES HEADING INTO 2020 Prior to the arrival of head coach ROB CHILDRESS, Texas A&M had never appeared in the NCAA Tournament more than four consecutive years. Last season’s College World Series run extended the Aggies’ current string to 13 consecutive years, something that had never happened before in the program’s 117-year history. Childress has led the Aggies to the postseason each of the last 13 seasons, topping the previous-high water mark of four-straight trips, a feat that had happened only twice before at Texas A&M. Former head coach Tom Chandler led his squad to the NCAA Regionals each season from 1975 to 1978 and 11 years later the Aggies enjoyed a similar four-year run from 1986-89 under the direction of head coach Mark Johnson. TOUGH TESTS SPANGLE THE 2020 SCHEDULE The Aggies face 13 opponents who made the 2019 NCAA Championship for a total of 31 games, including Arkansas (3), Army (3), Auburn (3), Florida (3), Georgia (3), LSU (3), Mississippi State (3), Ole Miss (3), Tennessee (3), Dallas Baptist, Illinois, Oklahoma State and UCLA. Forty of Texas A&M’s games are against teams that finished in the top 100 of the final RPI rankings in 2019, including 23 games against teams which finished in the RPI top 25. The Aggies play nine games against College World Series squads from 2019. The Aggies play four games against teams that won 50 or more games in 2019 and 21 games vs. teams that were victorious in 40 or more games.

For the week, he was the only player in the league to register double digits in either the runs (12) or RBI (10) column. He also led the SEC in doubles (5) stolen bases (5) and walks (9) for the week. His incredible stretch included scoring multiple runs in every contest and reaching base at least three times in all five games. The Sugar Land, Texas, native scored in the first inning of the last four games. Against Prairie View A&M, Blaum became the first Aggie to score four times in the first two innings of a game. In Sunday’s win, Blaum started the game by drawing a walk, stealing both second and third base and scurrying home when the threw to first base to retire Cam Blake on a strikeout. Blaum posted a .720 on-base percentage for the week, batting 7-for-14 with nine walks and two HBP. In the series sweep against Army, Blaum reached base nine times with three hits, four walks and two HBP.
