Support to Policy Dialogues: Analytical reports and setup of EIG Inventory of joint STI Programmes and cooperation mechanisms → providing tools for future cooperation identification domestic Japanese programmes with cooperation potential Analysis of the EU-Japan Cooperation in FP7/Horizon 2020 → detailed identification of areas of cooperation including participation of Japanese affiliated companies from Europe Analysis of EU-Japan Co-publications → highest growth in co-authored papers in Energy, Agriculture and biological sciences, material sciences and chemistry Blueprint for Joint Liaison Office for European research organisations in Japan → Detailed study on how such an office should be shaped Establishment of a European Interest Group targeting Japan → First call launched on Food Crops and Biomass Production Technologies, now open 3 2. Providing information about cooperation programmes and added value of EU-Japan cooperation in the Europe and Japan 6 events/sessions organized by JEUPISTE partners in Europe Ca. 550 people reached 10 events/sessions organized in Japan / Ca. 1000 people reached* Major event: Horizon 2020 info days in Tokyo (close to 200 participants) In addition, more than 20 invited presentations throughout Japan ( (* expected) 4 3. EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation is the official National Contact Point for Horizon 2020 in Japan. NCP is a system developed by the European Commission based in all European countries and most third countries, to provide local support. Goal: provide guidance, practical information and assistance on all aspects of participation in Horizon 2020 . Collaboration with Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), JEUPISTE project, NCP thematic networks . Japanese portal site for Horizon 2020: http://www.ncp-japan.jp 7 Services by JEUPISTE/NCP • A help desk for any inquiry related to Horizon 2020: actively helping Japanese organizations to participate in Horizon 2020 by providing them with tailored information and practical information on administrative issues that might arise • Providing a website in Japanese with easily accessible information on Horizon 2020 and how to participate: http://www.ncp-japan.jp • Providing Japanese translations of key documents in Horizon 2020 (such as the Grant Agreement) and information guides for easier access to Japanese organisations • Providing trainings for research administrators and managers to deal with EU research projects • Partner search support 8 Horizon 2020 Training seminar 29 July 2016 in Osaka, 13:00 – 17:30 . Training for Japanese research administrators, researchers, companies . Training contents: – Learn from Japanese organisations participating in Horizon 2020 how they are handling the project – Receive detailed information on the application procedures – Get accustomed to the IPR management and reporting obligations – How to support researchers to participate in the EU projects . Participation free of charge . Training partially conducted in Japanese .
