HYBRID SCHEDULE FORMAT The alphabet spread will be as follows: A Group - Attendance Days: A – L B Group - Attendance Days: M – Z ODD Day Hour 1 7:45 - 9:10 (85) Hour 3 9:15 - 10:40 (85) Academic Support Time 10:40 - 11:10 (30) • Students stay in 3rd hour class - attendance taken as part of 3rd hour • Teachers will use their zoom links to offer office hours • Office hours will be available to in-person and virtual students • This will be used for Husky Headlines on weeks it is scheduled • Students in PM CAPS classes are able to leave during this time unless required by a teacher to attend for academic support Hour 5 & Lunch 11:15 - 1:20 (125) Hour 7 1:25 - 2:50 (85) EVEN Day PLC Time 7:30 - 8:30 (60) Hour 2 8:30 - 9:55 (85) Academic Check Time/Advisory 9:55 - 10:15 (20) • Students will stay in 2nd hour • Advisory activities will be done during this time • If there is not an advisory activity, students can work on class/homework while teachers conference with individual students about how they will use the academic support time after 4th hour Hour 4 & Lunch 10:20 - 12:20 (120) Academic Support Time 12:25 - 1:20 (55) • Students will stay in 4th hour • This academic support time will be for students who are in the building. For those at-home (hybrid) or virtual students, this will just be time to work on home/classwork. • We will use E-hallpass to set up a limited number of spots for each teacher to have students come to their room • Student will create the E-hallpass if they need to go work with a teacher • We will set up a testing center for students to make-up tests, we will only be able to have 10 kids in the testing center at one time. • Students in PM CAPS classes are able to leave during this time unless required by a teacher to attend for academic support Hour 6 1:25 - 2:50 (85) Ceramic students from Spring 2020 & Fall 2020, Spring 2020 students: If you had glazed work that you did not pick up when we returned in the Fall that was from last year and you would still like it, please plan to stop by the ceramics room before Spring break to pick it up. Any work not claimed will be disposed of. Fall 2020 students: Please pick up any glazed work that you still want by Spring break. If you have unglazed work, you could come to the ceramics room during Academic Support Time to glaze before Spring break. Any work not claimed will be disposed of. See Ms. LaValley with any questions. Thank you! Spring Sports Physicals – Baseball, Softball, Girls Soccer, Boys Tennis, Girls Swim & Dive, Track & Field, Boys Golf If you are participating in a spring sport, you must have your Athletic Participation Packet 2020-21 turned in to Mrs. Hoffmeister in the office by TODAY - February 22nd. Tryouts begin on March 1st and you MUST have a physical form on file as well as a COVID Questionnaire completed. The COVID Questionnaire must be dated February 15th or after. All forms must be filled out completely and signed by both student and parent. You can download these forms at https://bvnwathletics.com/athletic-forms/ or you can pick up a packet in the Student Services office. Blue Valley’s 2021 graduations to be held at district activities complex BVNW – Saturday, May 22 8:30pm (rain date is Tuesday, May 25 at 5:30pm) Course Fees 2nd Semester course fees for 2020-21 have been posted to student accounts and are now available to pay in ParentVue. http://bvpo.bluevalleyk12.org Payment can also be made by check, payable to BVNW. Please notate student name & ID# on the memo line. ALL players interested in trying out for baseball need to fill out the following Google Form: https://forms.gle/bFPBepXC2eFKqEs26 2. Tryouts begin Monday, March 1st after school on the baseball fields. If weather is bad, communication will be sent out about the change in time and location. 3. Physicals need to be turned in prior to tryouts in order to participate. If players participated in a Fall/Winter sport, they already have a physical on file. 4. Player/Parent Meeting – Friday, February 26th at 6:30-7:30pm on Zoom. Each player, and at least 1 parent/guardian need to attend. *Coach Pangborn will send out the Zoom information based on the Google Form above, prior to February 26th. 5. Any questions can be directed to Coach Pangborn at [email protected] Husky Softball Information: 1. ALL players interested in trying out for softball need to click on the QR Code fill out the following Google Form. If you have already filled this out and have been receiving emails from Coach White, you do not need to do again. Questions about this, ask Coach White. 2.Tryouts begin Monday, March 1st after school at the BVREC fields. We will meet on Field #18. We will discuss transportation there when we meet on February 24th in person. If weather is bad, practice will be moved inside, and communication will be sent out about the change in time and location. Practice runs from 3:15-5:15 every day. IF we are inside during tryout week, we likely will be 5:30-7:30pm. All of this is subject to change. 3. Physicals need to be turned in prior to tryouts in order to participate. If players participated in a Fall/Winter sport, they already have a physical on file. See Mrs. Hoffmeister in the office if you need a physical packet. 4. Player/Parent Meeting – Sunday, February 21st at 6:00-7:30pm on Zoom. Each player, and at least 1 parent/guardian need to attend. Coach White will send the zoom link to everyone who fills out the google form. 5. Students will need to stop by room 908 to pick up a packet of tryout information that needs to be filled out PRIOR to the meeting on the 21st. This is the tryout packet that will be due on February 24th when I see you at our meeting in room 908 at 3:00. This is the information that was emailed out to many of you. 6. Any questions can be directed to Coach White at [email protected] Counseling Juniors and Seniors: College admission representatives cannot personally visit high schools this year, so they are offering virtual college visits to schools individually. If you would like to attend a virtual college visit with the admission rep and other Blue Valley Northwest students, you may sign-up in Naviance. These are live Zoom meetings with the admissions rep lasting about 30 minutes. This link will direct you on registering to attend a college visit. https://bvusd.instructure.com/courses/70851/pages/college-planning-for-juniors College Board AP Exam Registration: Students who are taking a 2nd semester AP course and plan to take the AP exam must register and pay for exams by March 1, 2021. There are 2 parts to registering for an AP exam, confirming exam registration in AP Classroom (through College Board account), and paying for the exam through Total Registration.
