HONG KONG 2020 We Are Delighted to Share with You This Year’S Festive Guide, Which Showcases the Best of What Is Happening Around Town Festive Guide HONG KONG 2020 We are delighted to share with you this year’s Festive Guide, which showcases the best of what is happening around town. With everything from festive high teas to staycations, spas to fine dining delivery, we have your Christmas plans covered and we are here to help you make the most out of your Christmas in Hong Kong. Please note that at the time of writing, that all of these activities were up to date, but given that the world is changing rapidly these days, we encourage you to double check opening times and availability to avoid disappointment. This year, our Christmas parties, gatherings and activities may look different than it has done in past, but at Quintessentially we are determined that our new normal will not dampen our spirit. With Hong Kong restaurants and hotels providing an array of festive and fun-filled ways to enjoy the season, there are still plenty of ways that you can celebrate this year. Whilst 2020 may have turned out differently to our expectations, we will look back on this year with a newfound appreciation for a simpler life – one filled with gratitude for the things we have long taken for granted. We will have learned to celebrate and take care of one of life’s greatest blessings, our health, and be thankful for the opportunity we have had to reconnect with old friends. After an extraordinary year, our community is stronger now more than ever, but our business would not be as strong as it would be today without our amazing members, business partners and corporate clients that we have built long standing relationships with. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you all for your continued support. To all of our members, friends and partners, we wish you a healthy and happy holiday ahead. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do! The Globalization of Chinese Food ANTHROPOLOGY OF ASIA SERIES Series Editor: Grant Evans, University ofHong Kong Asia today is one ofthe most dynamic regions ofthe world. The previously predominant image of 'timeless peasants' has given way to the image of fast-paced business people, mass consumerism and high-rise urban conglomerations. Yet much discourse remains entrenched in the polarities of 'East vs. West', 'Tradition vs. Change'. This series hopes to provide a forum for anthropological studies which break with such polarities. It will publish titles dealing with cosmopolitanism, cultural identity, representa tions, arts and performance. The complexities of urban Asia, its elites, its political rituals, and its families will also be explored.
