  • NEW Ames High Alumni Directory the Swingsters
Volume 23, Issue 1 Ames, Iowa April, 2012 NEW Ames High Alumni Directory There was an article in the December, 2011 AHSAA Newsletter indicating that we, indeed, were publishing a new alumni directory, and that it was at the printers. It was printed in January and delivered to the AHSAA on January 23rd. Over one-hundred of our loyal members ordered one based on the story, and they were mailed out on the 23rd by a group of alumni volunteers--Bob and Anne Buck, Jim Dresser, Tom Emmerson and Mary Shahan. The new directory consists of three alumni listings: (1) an alphabetical listing of all AHS graduates, (2) a listing by graduation classes, and (3) a geographical listing by city and state. It also contains a section of information about the Ames High School Alumni Association and a collection of information and trivia about Ames High School. We think you will find it useful and interesting. So, we suggest you order yours today. And while you are doing that--you may want to order one for a child, sibling or friend. They make a great gift! - Bill and Jack The Swingsters Roger Deal, ’51 forwarded this picture to us. He indicated that this would have been the sophomore year (48- 49) of the Class of 1951. He has identified seven of the members for us. They are, indeed, a dapper looking group. We will give a three-year membership or a 2011 AHSAA Directory to the first person to correctly identify all fourteen members. How will we know if you are correct? We have our sources! Volume 23, Issue 1, Page 2 April, 2012 AHSAA Thanks You For Your Financial Support The Ames High School Alumni Association has received contributions and/or memorials from the following supporters during the 2011 calendar year.
