    L.N. 121 of 2003 Declaration of Constituencies (District Councils) Order 2003 (Made by the Chief Executive in Council under section 6 of the District Councils Ordinance (Cap. 547)) 1. Commencement This Order shall--- (a) come into operation on 10 July 2003 for the purpose only of enabling arrangements to be made for the holding of the District Council ordinary election in 2003; and (b) in so far as it has not come into operation under paragraph (a), come into operation on 1 January 2004. 2. Interpretation In this Order--- "approved map" (獲批准㆞圖), in relation to any District, means the map or any of the maps of that District--- (a) submitted together with the report referred to in section 18(1)(b) of the Electoral Affairs Commission Ordinance (Cap. 541) by the Electoral Affairs Commission to the Chief Executive on 22 April 2003; (b) specified in column 3 of the Schedule; (c) identified by reference to a plan number (Plan No.) prefixed "DCCA"; (d) approved by the Chief Executive in Council on 13 May 2003; and (e) copies of which are deposited in the respective offices of the Electoral Registration Officer and the Designated Officer; "constituency boundary" (選區分界), in relation to an area declared to be a constituency in this Order, means--- (a) the boundary represented in the relevant approved map by the unbroken edging coloured red delineating, or partially delineating, that area and described as "Constituency Boundary" in the legend of that map; or (b) where any part of a district boundary joins or abuts any boundary partially delineating that area as mentioned in paragraph (a), or circumscribes or otherwise partially delineates that area--- (i) that part of that district boundary; and (ii) that boundary partially delineating that area as so mentioned; "district boundary" (㆞方行政區分界), in relation to any District, means the boundary of the District area delineated as mentioned in section 3(1) of the Ordinance which is represented in the relevant approved map by the broken edging coloured red and described as "District Boundary" in the legend of that map.

    Food Waste Recycling Projects in Housing Estates Executive Summary Hong Kong Productivity Council March 2016 Food Waste Recycling Projects in Housing Estates Executive Summary Environmental Protection Department Executive Summary Background 1. In February 2011, the ECF Committee endorsed the provision of funding support to the Projects with an earmarked amount of $50 million. In July 2011, the Environment and Conservation Fund (ECF) allocated $50 million as a subsidy and launched the "Food Waste Recycling Projects in Housing Estates" programme to encourage the source separation and recycling of food waste. The subsidy will provide funds to support housing estates to set up on-site food waste treatment facilities, organize food waste collection and recovery programmes and associated activities for 2-year. These projects also encourage housing estates to engage non-governmental organization (NGOs) to organize educational and promotion activities in order to raise residents' awareness towards food waste reduction and encourage their participation in food waste recovery. In Sept 2014, the earmarked amount was increased to $60 million and the extension scheme was introduced to support those satisfactorily completed project, for another 2-year subject to terms and conditions. 2. By the time of this report compilation at end of May 2015, 11 housing estates were approved for the Phase 1 Projects in November 2011. The 11 housing estates are Lung Poon Court (龍蟠苑) (FWR001), The Capitol, LOHAS Park (日出康城首都) (FWR002), Laguna Verde (海逸豪園) (FWR005), Woodland Crest (奕翠園) (FWR007), Grand Promenade (嘉亨灣) (FWR008), Braemar Hill Mansion (賽西湖大廈) (FWR011), Park Island (珀麗灣) (FWR014), Gold Coast (黃金海岸) (FWR015), Hong Lok Yuen ( 康樂園) (FWR016), Discovery Bay ( 愉景灣) (FWR017), Sereno Verde ( 蝶翠 峰)(FWR018).

    N337 Historic Building Appraisal Entrance Gate San Wai, Ha Tsuen, Yuen Long, New Territories The entrance gate of San Wai (新圍), which literally means “new Historical walled village”,1 is situated in a local district known as Ha Tsuen (廈村) or Interest Ha Tsuen Heung (廈村鄉).2 Ha Tsuen was founded by two brothers, Tang Hung-chi (鄧洪贄) and Tang Hung-wai (鄧洪惠), both ninth generation members of the Ng Yuen Tso (五元祖) of the Tang (鄧) clan.3 As one of the oldest villages in Ha Tsuen, San Wai has a history of more than 250 years. It was established by Tang Tso-tai (鄧作泰, 1695 – 1756), an eighteenth generation member of the Ng Yuen Tso, and Tang Wai-yuk (鄧為玉, 1715 – 1755), a generation younger than Tso-tai. The village’s name “新圍” in Chinese and “San Wai” in English can be identified from a government report of 1899 and a land record of the then colonial government dating from 1905 to 1907. Regarding its layout, San Wai is composed of rows of houses, with an entrance gate. It is believed that the entrance gate was originally situated on the central axis of the village. As the village expanded, this central axis gradually lost its significance, and the view from the entrance gate was eventually blocked by rows of houses. A map dated 1917, which is the earliest record of its kind identified, shows that by that time two rows of houses had been built in front of the entrance gate.4 Interestingly, no shrine was built within San Wai, as villagers believe that the village is “protected” by the Earth God shrine near the Yeung Hau Temple (楊侯古廟), which is locally known as Sai Tau Miu (西頭廟, western temple).
