This does not eliminate a media time out. • In addition. each team is entitled to four time outs of 30 seconds in length and one full time out. Each team may carry over three- 30 second time outs to the second half. • During a 30 second time out the first horn will sound at 20 seconds the second horn will be sounded at the end of the time out and play should resume immediately. • During a 30 second time out players must remain on the court. Each team is entitled to one additional 30 second time out during each extra period-unused 30 second time outs from the half rna) be used at any time. The first time out called in any extra period becomes a full time out. • The length of a media time out shall he 135 seconds - the first horn sounding at 120 seconds and the second horn sounding at the completion of the time out 15 seconds later. • Substitutions may not occur after the tirst horn has been sounded until at least one live-ball period has occurred and the ball becomes dead.
