He will be graduating from LCC this May (2017) with his Associates of Science at the ripe old age of 17 years old and plans to attend the University of Nevada at Reno to study Mechanical Engineering in the fall. COLE, PAGE 4 Cole (left) has been a reliable fixture in the Math Lab during his time at Lassen. 12 The Fifth Annual Louis Price Benefit Concert & Dance took place on February 24 at the Lassen College Sports Complex. The event has grown to become an annual celebration of Black History Month and raise money for the Lassen College Foundation’s Scholarship Fund to benefit local graduating seniors in the Lassen College District planning to attend Lassen College. The event began with a free “soul food” inspired lunch and was open to the public. Later that evening, the three-hour event featured Louis Price, formerly of The Temptations and The Drifters, saxophonist, Kenny Poulson, and local singers and musicians. Nearly 350 danced to Motown favorites, while raising nearly $12,000 for the scholarship fund.
