MINDS EYE TO DEVELOP FEATURE FILM THUNDER OVER KANDAHAR

(Regina, SK) December 19th, 2014 – Minds Eye has signed on to develop the feature film Thunder Over Kandahar. Filmmaker Anita Doron has been attached to write the screenplay adaptation of the novel by the same name, written by Sharon McKay.

Thunder over Kandahar tells the story of two young girls with very different backgrounds, both living in Afghanistan, who form an unbreakable bond as they travel unaccompanied though the dangerous mountains in an attempt to escape the Taliban.

Producer Kevin DeWalt says, “We are looking forward to bringing Thunder Over Kandahar to fruition and believe there is great commercial and artistic potential for this project”.

Development Support has been provided by Telefilm Canada Feature Film Fund and Creative Saskatchewan Screen Based Media Content Development Grant.
