2019 Babe Ruth Southwest Regional Tournament July 11-15, 2019 Nederland, TX Competitive Challenge Date: Thursday, July 11th, 2019
Time: 7:00 PM Home Run Derby One player from each team Player provides their own pitcher Pitcher must pitch behind a screen 10 out system (any hit ball that doesn’t clear the fence in fair territory is an out , each swing and miss is an out) In the event of a tie, a 3 out playoff will continue until tie is broken Winner receives a plaque Around the horn Five players (catcher, first, second, shortstop, third) Throw is made from catcher to first, to shortstop, to third, to home, back to third, to second, to first, to home. Each catch/throw must be made with the player touching the plate/bag after the catch and before the throw; a second penalty will be applied for not touching Fastest time wins a plaque Battle of the Coaches Coach must stand with one foot inside home plate circle, hit a “catcher pop up’ The coach who gets the ball to land closest to home plate wins. The winning coach will receive a plaque
