On October 20, 2015, Assistant Professor Sansnee Senawong, Department of Immunology’s Chairwoman, presided over the Department of Immunology’s Annual Conference “International Mini-Conference on Basic to Translational Medicine 2015” at conference room 101, His Majesty the King’s 80th Birthday Anniversary 5th December 2007 Building. The conference was seasoned with many reputed speakers from foreign countries and Thailand’s elite universities including Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital such as Professor On November 11, 2015, Professor Suwannee Suraseranivongse, Deputy Dr. Wanpen Chaicumpa as an honorary speaker, Professor Dr. Philippe Dean and Director of Siriraj Medical School, welcomed all delegates to the Humbert from University Hospital Jean Minjoz, France. Announcement the Recipients of Prince Mahidol Award Youth Program Scholarship 2015
On November 30, 2015, the Prince Mahidol Award Foundation under the Royal Patronage (PMAF) held a press conference at Prince Mahidol Aduldej Room, Siriraj Medical Library, Siriraj Hospital, to announce Prince Mahidol Award Youth Program Scholarship 2015. Five medical students from Thailand’s leading Universities including Mr. Phuwanat Sakornsakolpat, a medical student from Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University was announced as one of the scholarship recipients. The recipients of the award will receive a 1-year scholarship for research study, professional training or community development in Thailand or abroad. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has arranged a preparation briefing for recipients before going abroad.

On October 31, 2015, it was such a great honor for Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital to humbly receive Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn who proceeded to Siriraj Pier, to welcome 318 of the 2nd year medical students (the 125th generation of Siriraj) from Salaya Campus to Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital in Siriraj Welcome Ceremony and Orientation for Freshmen. After the successful signing of the “Declaration of the Southeast Asian Medical School Network Initiative” on September 19, 2012, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital established the project called “Siriraj Scholarship for ASEAN Doctors” which aims to encourage doctors Dr. Cam Ba Thuc from Vietnam undertook a short training program at from Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, and Vietnam to participate in an Department of Rehabilitation under Siriraj Scholarship for ASEAN Doctors from International Short-Term Training Course, as a preliminary means. in September 1 - 28, 2015 establishing and reinforcing the ASEAN Medical Network and to widen the scope of knowledge and capabilities of medical practitioners to Internationalize the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital through network collaborations.
โครงการ Siriraj Scholarship for ASEAN Doctors เป็นโครงการที่จัดตั้งขึ้นเพื่อเปิด โอกาสและส่งเสริมให้แพทย์จากประเทศสาธารณรัฐประชาธิปไตยประชาชนลาว ราชอาณาจักรกัมพูชา สาธารณรัฐแห่งสหภาพเมียนมาร์ และสาธารณรัฐสังคมนิยม เวียดนาม ได้เข้ามาศึกษาและฝึกอบรมที่คณะฯ (International Short-Term Training Courses) และสนับสนุนการสร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือต่อกันในระดับอาเซียน โดยใน ระหว่างเดือนพฤษภาคม - สิงหาคม 2558 ได้มีแพทย์จากอาเซียนเข้าร่วมโครงการนี้ ดังนี้ 1. ดร. คัม บา ธัก จากประเทศเวียตนาม เข้าฝึกอบรม ณ ภาควิชาเวชศาสตร์ฟื้นฟู 2. ดร.เคย ลี จากประเทศกัมพูชา เข้าฝึกอบรม ณ ศูนย์โรคหัวใจสมเด็จพระบรม- Dr. Keay Ly from Calmette Hospital, Cambodia undertook a short course ราชินีนาถ training at Her Majesty Cardiac Center under Siriraj Scholarship for ASEAN Doctors from November 2 - 27, 2015

สวัสดีครับ กลับมาพบกับกระผม Mr. Worldwide อีกครั้งครับ English Today ฉบับนี้ กระผมขอน�ำเสนอส�ำนวนง่ายๆ เป็น ส�ำนวนที่เกี่ยวข้องกับแตงกวาครับ ส�ำนวนที่ว่าก็คือ “Cool as a cucumber” นั่นเองครับ ความหมายของส�ำนวนนี้ไม่ได้ แปลว่าเย็นเหมือนแตงกวาแต่อย่างใดครับ แต่ส�ำนวนนี้ใช้ เปรียบเปรยกับคนที่ใจเย็น สุขุมมากๆ ครับ ซึ่งแปลว่า “very calm หรือ imperturbable” เรามาลองดูตัวอย่างประโยค กันนะครับ “Mike was as cool as a cucumber before his presentation because he was well-prepared.” แปลว่า ไมค์ดูสุขุมนุ่มลึกมากๆ ก่อนการน�ำเสนอนั่นเป็นเพราะ ว่าเขาเตรียมตัวมาดี Mr. Worldwide อยากชวนเพื่อนๆ ลอง น�ำส�ำนวน Cool as a cucumber ไปลองใช้กันนะครับ แล้ว พบกันใหม่ฉบับหน้า ขอลาไปก่อนนะครับ Mr. Worldwide
