The Bondi to Manly Walk links all the existing coastal and harbourside walking tracks between ’s two most famous surf beaches, and . For its entire length the Bondi to Manly Walk is on public land, with the vast majority of its 80kms on existing well-made and well-maintained bush walking tracks.

It is the product of a collaboration between all six Councils along the Walk (City of , , , Council, and Woollahra Council); eight state agencies (Property , the New South Wales Office of Environment and Heritage, Destination NSW, Roads and Maritime Services, Port Authority of NSW, Royal Botanic Gardens, , Taronga Zoo) and at the Federal level, the Sydney Harbour Federation Trust.

The partnership to create the Bondi to Manly Walk was officially announced in Sydney on the 25 November 2018.

We also have many community organisations supporting the establishment of the Walk including the La Perouse and Metropolitan Local Aboriginal Land Councils, the Walking Volunteers, the Committee for Sydney, and the Business Council of Australia. BONDI TO MANLY WALK SUPPORTERS

Bondi to Manly Walk Supporters is a not-for-profit incorporated association.

The Object of Bondi to Manly Walk Supporters is to protect, enhance and promote the natural environment of Sydney’s Harbour and Coastal Foreshore by;

● promoting and supporting the Bondi to Manly Walk ● improving community awareness of the following attributes of the Walk ○ environmental ○ cultural ○ indigenous ○ heritage ○ health ● encouraging the use and enjoyment of the Walk by the community. FROM IDEA TO REALITY

The dream of the Bondi to Manly Walk has evolved for over a decade.

In the last 18 months we’ve been actively working on it’s establishment. We’re incredibly proud of the steps we’ve made towards that goal. We now have 14 partnering landholders from all 3 levels of the Australian government working collaboratively on the implementation and promotion of the Bondi to Manly Walk.

We’ve also received the support of the La Perouse and Metropolitan Local Aboriginal Land Council to use an Aboriginal Whale Symbol as the heart of the Bondi to Manly Walk visual identity.

We’re excited to announce the Official Opening of the Bondi to Manly Walk on December 8, 2019. MANLY BEACH Manly, so named by Capt. in 1788 because of the manly nature of its indigenous people, is famous for its ocean beach and the ferry service from which started in 1852.

Over 10 million domestic and 4 million international visitors travelled to Sydney in 2018.

NSW National parks estimated over 51 million visitors in 2015, with Sydney’s national parks taking 4 of the top 5 most visited parks in the state. 20% of those visitors were taking part in an overnight or multi day visit.

Sydney’s world class Bondi to Manly Walk will be at the heart of Sydney’s national park visitors.

Linking 2 of Australia’s most famous beaches the walk will take in another 2 Australian icons while skirting ‘the most beautiful harbour in the world’, this is an experience visitors wouldn’t dare miss.
