The city of Paris is defined as the 20 arrondissements (i.e. postcodes beginning with 75). Greater Paris also includes Seine-et-Denis (93), Val-de-Marne (94) and Haute-de-Seine (92). Ile-de-France (excluding Greater Paris) includes the following departments: Seine-et-Marne (77), Essonne (91), Yvelines (78), and Val-d'Oise (95). Star ratings are based on guidelines issued by L'Office de Tourisme et des Congrés. Where no star issued, hotel is placed at similar level to those with official star ratings. Paris - Town Centre is a combination of Left Bank and Right Bank hotels. Left Bank covers the area on the south side of the river including hotels around Tour Eiffel, Invalides, Saint Germain, Quartier Latin, Panthéon and Jardin du Luxembourg . Right Bank covers the north side of the river upto Avenue de Friedland/Boulevard Haussmann including the areas around Trocadéro, Étoile, Champs Élysées, Madeleine, Louvre and Opéra. La Défense/Neuilly includes hotels in the Paris La Défense Cedex as well as hotels located in Courbevoie, , and Neuilly-sur-Seine on a main road leading to La Défense.
