TRINITY FOREST

Minutes from downtown and the SMU campus, Trinity Forest Golf Club unfolds over a rolling open meadow surrounded by the Great Trinity Forest. Bill Coore and ’ own Ben Crenshaw continue to captivate the golf world with their most recent creation reminiscent of the classic links-style courses found in the Northeastern US and Great Britain.

Trinity Forest Golf Club is destined to become one of the most storied private venues in the state, if not the country. The home of SMU Golf, it is slated to host NCAA tournaments and other prestigious amateur events and will become the home of the AT&T Byron Nelson in 2018.

Boys ages 12-18 are eligible to attend this four-day, three-night golf camp that runs July 16-19, 2017. Overnight accommodations on SMU campus, and golf activities and other programming will be held at Trinity Forest Golf Club.

MEET THE INSTRUCTION TEAM

JASON ENLOE – HEAD COACH, SMU MEN’S GOLF A four-year letterman on the Mustang Golf Team, Jason Enloe went on to play professionally for 14 years on the PGA TOUR-sponsored Nationwide Tour notching two wins in 243 starts as a pro to go along with a solid amateur career that included an appearance on the 1997 U.S. World Amateur Team. He also twice reached the latter stages of match play at the U.S. Amateur. Enloe returned to SMU as an assistant men’s golf coach before being named head coach in 2014.

CHRIS PARRA – ASSISTANT COACH, SMU MEN’S GOLF Also an SMU alumnus, Parra played for the Mustangs for two years with one win at the USTA Invitation in six events played. Parra spent most of his 14-year professional career on the Web.com Tour where he played 36 events, captured a top-10 and four top-25s. In 2006, he made the cut at the EDS Byron Nelson Championship before finishing 72nd. He returned to SMU as a coach in 2015 – the same year the Mustangs brought home three wins.

CAMERON MCCORMICK – FOUNDER, ALTUS PERFORMANCE Originally from Australia, Cameron McCormick moved to the U.S. in 2000 equipped with coaching principles learned at the prestigious Victorian Institute of Sport. His background in competitive golf at all levels combined with an understanding of biomechanics, motor learning and psychology has led to a long list of successes. He’s best known as the coach for Masters and U.S. Open Champion Jordan Spieth. More than 20 of his clients, past and present, play(ed) professionally across all tours, and four of the last seven USGA Junior Amateur Champions call him coach. He’s the Director of Instruction at Trinity Forest Golf Club, a Golf Magazine Top 100 teacher and 2015 PGA of America Teacher of the Year.

COREY LUNDBERG – HIGH PERFORMANCE COACH, ALTUS PERFORMANCE Dallas native and PGA Member, Corey Lundberg earned a degree in Golf Management before serving as Director of Instruction at the Club at Carlton Woods in Houston. After that, he returned to Dallas to help launch Altus Performance alongside mentor and friend, Cameron McCormick. Corey works with athletes of all abilities, and has been recognized on Golf Digest’s list of the Best Young Teacher in America, Best Teachers in Texas and Top 50 Kids Teachers in the United States.

ANDREW LEWIS – FACILITY DIRECTOR, ALTUS PERFORMANCE Although Lewis first picked up a golf club at age 11, his focus on the game shifted into high gear during his senior year of high school. He went on to earn a degree from UT Dallas where he competed on the golf team before becoming a PGA Professional and director of instruction at two prestigious Dallas-area clubs. Andrew coaches golfers at every skill level by tailoring his style to fit each through skill assessments, statistical analysis, on-course training and technology.

SMU GOLFERS – past and present will also serve as camp counselors and coaches during the camp.
