PLAYER PERSONNEL

Roell got his first taste of scouting from 1987-89 when he scouted high school football in western Pennsylvania for Metro Index. From 1989-90, Roell worked as an intern for Total Scouting before moving into the pro scout- ing division of BLESTO in 1990. He attended Ohio State University for three years before transferring to Ohio Northern University and later to Robert Morris where he earned a bachelor’s degree in sports management in 1990. Roell and his wife, Stacey, have two daughters, Victoria and Katelin.

Andy Dengler is in his 17th with the Jaguars and his second as assis- tant director of player personnel after being promoted to the post on May 2, 2013. Dengler spent two seasons as director of college personnel prior to his elevation. He had been promoted to National Scout on Jan. 12, 2009 and has been a Jaguars college scout since 1998. Dengler is responsible for scouting the top collegiate players throughout the nation. He joined the Jaguars from the National Football Scouting combine, where he was an area scout in the northeast and mid-Atlantic regions the previous four years. Dengler has some additional pro personnel responsibilities as well. Mark Ellenz is in his second season as the eastern regional scout for the Jaguars. Jarrod Highberger was promoted from Scouting Assistant to College Scout on May 6, 2013. He is responsible for scouting the Southwest area of the United States. Highberger joined the Jaguars in December of the 2010 season as an admin- istrative assistant in the player personnel department following a two-year coaching tenure at Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, where he served as the coach under head coach Joe Walton. The Colonials were Northeast Conference champions in 2010. Tim Mingey has been with the Jaguars since 1994, serving as a college scout. In 1982, Mingey was coach of the secondary at East Carolina, and in 1983, he coached at Miami (Ohio) University as defensive coordinator/inside linebackers coach. In 1984, Mingey was named the recruiting coordinator at the United States Military Academy. Kirksey played collegiately at the University of Central Florida as a senior in 2007. He was born on July 29, 1985 in Gainesville, Fla. His father, Larry, previ- ously served as the wide receivers coach for the Houston Texans.

Brian Simmons was named a regional scout for the Jaguars on June 1, 2009, and he scouts the Northeast region of the country for the team. A veteran of 10 years as a player in the NFL, Simmons played linebacker for the and New Orleans Saints before beginning his career in scouting. Simmons, 39, was selected 17th overall in the 1998 college draft by the Cin- cinnati Bengals. He played nine seasons (1998-2006) with the Bengals before spending his final season with the New Orleans Saints in 2007. In 2004, he was selected for the Good Guy Award by the Cincinnati chapter of the Pro Football Writers of America.

He and his wife, Debbie, have three children, Jack (11), Caroline (10) and Kate (7).

Antonio Robinson was hired by the Jaguars in May 2013 and is in his second season in the NFL. In his current role, Robinson’s duties consist of arranging free agent workouts and college visits, developing “Point-of-attack” tape, pre- paring the team’s draft board, coordinating college pro days and evaluating and scouting players. Robinson has nearly three years of coaching experience at the high school level, where he served as the running backs coach at Leon High School in Chris Driggers is in his 20th year overall with the Jaguars and his 17th year Tallahassee, Fla.
