Then to take those outside linebackers and be amount of penalties. I felt that throughout the course of the season the able to bring them into sub downs, I think that adds fl exibility because guys have been consistent, they work hard. They may be frustrated, you can switch roles easier. This time I’m rushing, you’re covering, but they’re not discouraged. He’s been effective on outside runs, he’s been effective on information and apply it to the next time that you play and you stay inside runs. To me, it’s not necessarily the pace as much as it is our consistent with the approach. Often times in a post-game analysis, if ability to consistently gain positive yards in the running game, and to you win you can gloss over some things that have to be fi xed. If you use that not only to move the chains, but to wear down the defense, to lose, you can harp on some things overly so. Cleveland Browns vs. New England Patriots, Regular Season Week 9, Game 8 -37- 2010 GAME SUMMARIES BROWNS 30 SAINTS 17 October 24, 2010 Louisiana Superdome, New Orleans, La. The Browns forced four interceptions, including two returned for touchdowns, to secure a 30- 17 road victory over the defending Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints. After a three and out on the Saints’ fi rst possession, wide receiver Joshua Cribbs lateraled the ball on the en- suing punt return to cornerback Eric Wright, who took it 62 yards to the New Orleans 19 yard line, which set up a 23-yard fi eld goal by Phil Dawson. Cleveland extended its lead to 10-0 when running back Peyton Hillis scored on a four-yard scamper, his fi fth rushing touchdown of the season. After both teams traded fi eld goals in the second quarter, Browns linebacker David Bowens defl ected a pass to himself and took the ball 30 yards for the score, giving the Browns a 20-3 halftime lead. Following a scoreless third quarter, the Saints narrowed the gap to 20-10 after quarterback Drew Brees hit tight end David Thomas for an 11-yard touchdown. Cleveland then extended its lead to 23-10 after Dawson converted his third attempt of the day, this time from 48 yards out. Later in the fourth, the Browns were able to seal up the victory when Bowens took his second interception back 64 yards for a touchdown. New Orleans added another touchdown late in the game to make the fi nal score 30-17. Browns punter Reg- gie Hodges ran a fake punt for 68 yards in the second quarter, the longest rush by a punter since the AFL-NFL merger in 1970.
