Head Coach Steve Bell won his third Coach of the Year award after directing the Fighting Scots to a perfect 9-0 record 2008 MWC Defensive Player of the Year in the Midwest Conference. Monmouth is also represented by the 2008 Jeremy Winter, Senior, Linebacker, Carroll Offensive Performer of the Year in quarterback Alex Tanney, while 2008 MWC Coach of the Year Carroll’s linebacker Jeremy Winter was named the 2008 Defensive Steve Bell, Monmouth College, 9th Year Player of the Year.

Tanney becomes only the second sophomore to win the Offensive Player --2008 MWC Football First Team All-Conference-- of the Year award since its inception in 1995, and the first since Grin- nell’s Troy Dougherty won after the 1997 season.
