Dear Neil

I would like to offer you my sincere congratulations on leading Celtic to the Scottish title this season.

To win your first league title as a manager is a fitting reward for a season's hard work. You have not only guided your team to a Championship title on the pitch but, equally impressively, dealt with the well-pubHcised events off the field, testament to your strength of character.

Please also pass on my congratulations to the players and staff for this great achievement.

Dear Peter

I am writing to express my thanks for the constructive way you approached Tuesday's meeting, which I convened in response to the issues raised by Chief Constable Stephen House. I thought we managed to capture the positive and consensual spirit of the meeting in the Joint Statement and that gives tis an excellent platform for getting on with the work we have committed to do together.

I am keen to see continued momentum on these issues and that is why I am delighted that you have agreed to attend the first meeting of the Joint Action Group on Tuesday 15 March at Hampden. I have asked the Cabinet Secretary for Justice to cha.ir this meeting on my behalf. The primary purpose of the meeting will be to agree a remit and method of working for the Group going forward.

I see us as now having a unique opportunity to harness the power and influence of Scottish football to make significant inroads into some longstanding issues. This will help to improve not only Scottish football but society as a whole.

Dear Gordon

Just a note to congratulate you and the club for your epic success over Spartak Moscow.

Unfortunately, J am on holiday at the moment and was unable to accept the kind invitation to attend in person. However, I watched every ball kicked on the television and I can't remember a more exciting and gripping game of football.

Well done to all concerned at the club. It is of course fantastic for Scottish football to have two teams in the group stages of the UEFA Champions League, and J wish Celtic every success in the later stages of the competition.

I certainly will hope to attend one of the group matches in person.

Best Wishes

Yours for Scotland , v
