Scripps Brands Were Awarded 37 Regional Edward R Murrow Awards. the Regional Winners Will Now Advance to the National Murrow Scripps brands were awarded 37 Regional Edward R Murrow Awards. The regional winners will now advance to the National Murrow Award competition, which will be presented in New York this October. KMGH in Denver was awarded a total of five Regional Murrow Awards for Overall Excellence, Excellence in Social Media, Multimedia, Newscast and News Documentary. WEWS in Cleveland received four awards including two, Excellence in Video and Excellence in Sound, for its story “A Legacy of Honor.” WTVR in Richmond, Virginia, received four awards including Overall Excellence, Excellence in Video, Feature Reporting and News Series. KNXV in Phoenix was honored with two for its investigation “Unlocked and Unsafe.” The RTDNA honors outstanding achievements in broadcast and digital journalism, and the awards are given to organizations who demonstrate and embody the standards Edward R.
