SEAN SMITH DOES AN OK JOB WITH THIS BOOK. WE REALLY DON'T KNOW WHAT THE PERSON BRITNEY IS REALLY LIKE. WE READ THAT SHE IS POLITE, NOT A BIG EGO, A DRIVER AND VERY MIXED UP. TOO BAD MR SMITH DID NOT ADD MORE TO THIS BOOK AFTER BRITNEY REALLY WENT OVER THE CLIFF A FEW YEARS AGO. THE BOOK COVERS BRITNEY'S CAREER AND LIFE IN SOME DETAIL AND ADEQUATELY DOES THE JOB. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS FOR FANS THAT DON'T KNOW TOO MUCH ABOUT BRITNEY FOR MUCH OF THE INFO IN THIS BOOK HAS BEEN REHASHED. NOT FOR THE DIE HARD FANS OF BRITNEY.

I like this book very much. I am a Britney fan so I would say I know a whole lot about her already but this book provides bits and pieces that I did not know before. For once it's a book written by someone that actually seems to be on Britney's side (although it is not over praising her, it shows both sides) unlike others I have read that are mainly just gossip and appears to have the sole purpose of bashing on Britney.

This author goes beyond the usual 'what the eye see and the media print' and seems to have put genuine effort in finding out who Britney really is and why she has done the things she have. His take on the 55-hour wedding and hair-shaving e.g actually makes a lot of sense and it feels like I understand Britney more and my heart goes out to her. this book was not worth the .01 cent plus shipping and handling that I paid for it. It was not an honest and in depth story of the girl but rather she is portrayed as some kind of angelic creature with no faults at all, the author almost proclaims her to be the Immaculate Conception. This book bored me so badly that I was no longer surprised that someone sold a pristine brand new looking hard cover book for 1 cent! Since she sashayed down the corridor in a schoolgirl uniform singing 'Baby One More Time', Britney Spears has become the most talked-about woman in popular culture. In this fascinating unauthorized biography, the author chronicles for the first time the amazing story of how a little southern girl described by her tutor at Disney as 'the most innocent person you'd ever want to meet' grew up to become the ultimate tabloid obsession.

Bestselling author Sean Smith has conducted a series of exclusive interviews across America to discover if she really cheated on Justin Timberlake, what happened the first time she fell in love and what she finds irresistable about husband Kevin Federline. He details her journey from American dream to American nightmare - scarred by her break-up with Timberlake, humiliated by his video featuring a Britney look-alike, booed at the London premiere of her first film, "Crossroads," and deeply upset by her parents' divorce, she hit rock bottom with her notorious 55-hour Las Vegas marriage. But she has come back stronger than ever winning a prestigious Grammy award and starring in her own reality TV series. Speculating on what an uncertain future holds for new mother Mrs Federline, this is a thoroughly entertaining and insightful biography of one of the most misunderstood figures in pop.(less)

- Britney and Christina were only friends in the Mickey Mouse Club because they were the youngest girls there. Britney could dance but Christina could sing. They would rub off on one another but Christina was always the little diva wanting to outshine Britney. After MMC got cancelled, so did Christina and Britney's friendship. They didn't stay in contact, which is why now they aren't buddy buddy...they never really were.

-Before going to New York to start her first album, she had to get enrolled in a programme with the University of Nebraska to be homeschooled. She barely passed the entering exam, which she said was so hard. Then she would start her assignments, which she would then ship to Reg to finish in Kentwood and he would send them back to New York completed for her. She would claim that she was too busy to get all the work done

-Lynn Harless, Justin Timberlake's Mom, was suggested by Lou Pearlman to try her hand at Managing. She decided to make America's answer to the Spice Girls: . The first member was Nikki DeLoach, former mouseketeer and JC Chasez's girlfriend at the time.Britney was Nikki and Lynn's next choice as to who should join the band, so Britney flew up to Memphis where she became part of the group.

-The day before Britney was supposed to fly back to Memphis to sign the deal to make her an official member of Innosense, her Father called Lynn Harless and told her that he didn't want Britney in a girl group because she would make it better as a solo artist. Which was all for the best because if Britney had joined Innosense, her career would've been pretty much over. Justin's girlfriend, Veronica, took her place.

- It was due to Felicia Cullotta, Britney's guardian turned publicist on the road that Britney and Reg ended up breaking up. Felicia had begun phasing him out of her life since day one of her recording in New York. She would say negative things about Reg in Britney's ear with him in the room and she was someone Britney looked up to, so Britney agreed with a lot of what she said.

- When asked by MTV early in their relationship if Britney and Justin were dating, Britney said: "It's not true, N sync are like big brothers to me. I guess they assume that because we were on the Mickey Mouse Club together." Justin joked: "I am actually dating Britney. We've been together for seven years. I'm dating her and two of her dancers."

I usually hate unofficial biographies, usually rushed or just badly written to make easy money, but whilst unofficial, this is probably one of the best Britney bios out there. Anyone can gather together news articles and fill a book with quotes from them, but Sean Smith actually researches his subjects, and speaks to people that grew up with them and family and friends rather than reading newspapers and magazines and filling a book with rubbish in one night.

His books about the most famous people of our times have been translated throughout the world. His subjects include Robbie Williams, Kate Middleton, Tulisa, Kylie Minogue, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Alesha Dixon,Victoria Beckham, Jen...more Sean Smith is the UK’s leading celebrity biographer and the author of five Sunday Times best sellers including Cheryl, the definitive biography of Cheryl Cole.

Sean Smith is one of the UK’s leading celebrity biographers, whose bestselling books have been translated throughout the world. His subjects include Cheryl Cole, Victoria Beckham, Robbie Williams, Kylie Minogue and Jennifer Aniston. Described by the Independent as a ‘fearless chronicler’, he specializes in meticulous research, going ‘on the road’ to find the real person behind the star image.

In this unauthorised biography, Sean Smith sets himself the task of discovering which of the two Britneys has achieved dominance – the natural, fun-loving, friendly girl who makes lots of mistakes like everybody else, or what he calls “the Britney Spears―, megastar icon who threatened to take over and suppress the real Britney.

Things get off to a good start with a remarkable star chart for Britney written by Madeleine Moore. She remarks that although Britney may appear simply to be the embodiment of the candid, fun-loving modern woman, with a positive outlook full of optimism and frankness, she is in fact “a smart and complex woman who has traveled quickly but still has a long way to go―. She’s outspoken, determined and self-motivated, but also plagued with low esteem, anxiety and guilt. Her work as an artist may appear spontaneous, but she gets where she’s going through patience and application. Motherhood is “unlikely to quench the public ambition of this very professional and extremely creative young woman―.

Sean Smith then takes over to guide us through the events of Britney’s life. Unlike some biographers, he spent a lot of time in McComb, Mississippi (where Britney was born and went to school) and Kentwood, hanging out with the locals and trying to get the feel of the area and what made it seem, to him, so much more foreign than France. From these experiences he compiles a picture of the influences, values and standards that have shaped her life and colored it with such a range of contradictions.

Along the way he uncovers a few surprising facts, such as that Britney actually did pretty well at school, getting mostly A’s and B’s and having few problems with her academic studies, and was at Parklane Academy, on and off, from first grade right through to ninth. Although the school set extremely high standards in its spiritual and religious teaching and values, it never opposed her development as a child performer or her entry into the very unreligious life of showbiz.

Britney may have been a fair enough student at school, but as a student of showbiz she was exceptional. Her original New York agent Nancy Carson called her “ a little sponge― because she absorbed everything so well. She has always known how to enjoy herself, but in this most important area of life she applied herself with the utmost seriousness. Ms Carson is still annoyed over Britney’s Star Search defeat, complaining that it was the show’s producers who made her sing “Love will build a bridge―, a song that did not show her talents off to their best advantage.

The Disney years are given a thorough examination, but here Sean Smith has nothing new to offer. The next phase of her life, the awakening of her attraction to boys and her years with Reg Jones, is perhaps more interesting, not just because of the detailed picture the author builds up of her relationship with Reg, but also because even then, when she was only 15, she was thinking about marriage and was ready to marry Reg if she’d been old enough. However, they ended acrimoniously in 1999, leaving the way clear for Mr Timberlake. Meanwhile, the life of Britney Spears, Megastar was well under way but Sean Smith rarely sounds particularly enthusiastic about the hypersexualised icon. She had, he says, “progressed into an image that was all about sex on the one hand, and denying anything sexual on the other. In the playground she would have been labelled a prick-tease.― He seems cynical about the use of PR stunts throughout her career.

A surprising amount of space is devoted to Crossroads. Taking a realistic look at the figures, instead of the tabloid legend of its failure, Smith discovers that it was actually a resounding success, recouping all its costs and turning a 40% profit in its first week alone. Reviews of Britney’s performance were mixed, with some writers trotting out the obligatory savaging with the predictability of Pavlov’s dog. However, BBC Online found her “natural, endearing and extremely likeable―. Nevertheless, he thinks the film was released for no other reason than to tick another box in Britney’s superstar references.

Unsurprisingly, the latter part of the book is dominated by Britney’s break-up with Justin Timberlake and its unfortunate aftermath. Smith doesn’t take the easy way out of blaming either party. The conclusion he comes to is that the breakdown of their relationship was caused by intellectual and temperamental differences and a long-standing failure by both parties to ensure that regular physical contact was maintained. But there were further dimensions. Timberlake appears to see problems in his relationships in extremely unforgiving, black-and-white terms, always portraying himself as the victim. But his two earliest girlfriends do not see it that way at all. Britney herself said that “technically I’m not saying he’s wrong, but technically I’m not saying he’s right either―. The truth appears to be that they were on a break, but that the break was interpreted very differently by Justin and by Britney. http://edufb.net/541.pdf http://edufb.net/231.pdf http://edufb.net/681.pdf http://edufb.net/815.pdf http://edufb.net/115.pdf http://edufb.net/843.pdf http://edufb.net/201.pdf http://edufb.net/275.pdf http://edufb.net/147.pdf http://edufb.net/357.pdf http://edufb.net/332.pdf http://edufb.net/623.pdf http://edufb.net/189.pdf http://edufb.net/471.pdf http://edufb.net/130.pdf http://edufb.net/741.pdf http://edufb.net/327.pdf http://edufb.net/189.pdf
