Britney tells the full, amazing story of the rollercoaster life of one of the world’s most popular stars. Travel with best selling author Sean Smith across America as he paints a picture of the real Britney Spears – a little church-going Southern girl described by her tutor at Disney as вЂthe sweetest, most wholesome, most innocent person that you’d ever want to meet’, who became a desperately unhappy victim of fame. Britney Spears was a child star on Broadway at ten, with Disney at eleven, a number one recording artist at seventeen and a multi millionairess before her eighteenth birthday. But that success counted for nothing as she faced the agony of a marriage break-up that left her battling for custody of her two sons. Her eventual breakdown was seen on television by millions around the world. Few could forget the sight of a distressed Britney strapped to an ambulance trolley on her way to a psychiatric unit. But, incredibly, it was not the last we heard of Britney and phoenix-like she recovered to produce a US number one single and album, and headline a sell out world tour in 2009. Using a series of exclusive interviews Sean Smith reveals a complex yet genuinely nice young woman who at last seems to be winning.. WE REALLY DON'T KNOW WHAT THE PERSON BRITNEY IS REALLY LIKE. WE READ THAT SHE IS POLITE, NOT A BIG EGO, A DRIVER AND VERY MIXED UP. TOO BAD MR SMITH DID NOT ADD MORE TO THIS BOOK AFTER BRITNEY REALLY WENT OVER THE CLIFF A FEW YEARS AGO. THE BOOK COVERS BRITNEY'S CAREER AND LIFE IN SOME DETAIL AND ADEQUATELY DOES THE JOB. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS FOR FANS THAT DON'T KNOW TOO MUCH ABOUT BRITNEY FOR MUCH OF THE INFO IN THIS BOOK HAS BEEN REHASHED. NOT FOR THE DIE HARD FANS OF BRITNEY. I like this book very much. I am a Britney fan so I would say I know a whole lot about her already but this book provides bits and pieces that I did not know before. For once it's a book written by someone that actually seems to be on Britney's side (although it is not over praising her, it shows both sides) unlike others I have read that are mainly just gossip and appears to have the sole purpose of bashing on Britney. This author goes beyond the usual 'what the eye see and the media print' and seems to have put genuine effort in finding out who Britney really is and why she has done the things she have. His take on the 55-hour wedding and hair-shaving e.g actually makes a lot of sense and it feels like I understand Britney more and my heart goes out to her. this book was not worth the .01 cent plus shipping and handling that I paid for it. It was not an honest and in depth story of the girl but rather she is portrayed as some kind of angelic creature with no faults at all, the author almost proclaims her to be the Immaculate Conception. This book bored me so badly that I was no longer surprised that someone sold a pristine brand new looking hard cover book for 1 cent! Since she sashayed down the corridor in a schoolgirl uniform singing 'Baby One More Time', Britney Spears has become the most talked-about woman in popular culture. In this fascinating unauthorized biography, the author chronicles for the first time the amazing story of how a little southern girl described by her tutor at Disney as 'the most innocent person you'd ever want to meet' grew up to become the ultimate tabloid obsession. Bestselling author Sean Smith has conducted a series of exclusive interviews across America to discover if she really cheated on Justin Timberlake, what happened the first time she fell in love and what she finds irresistable about husband Kevin Federline. He details her journey from American dream to American nightmare - scarred by her break-up with Timberlake, humiliated by his video featuring a Britney look-alike, booed at the London premiere of her first film, "Crossroads," and deeply upset by her parents' divorce, she hit rock bottom with her notorious 55-hour Las Vegas marriage. But she has come back stronger than ever winning a prestigious Grammy award and starring in her own reality TV series. Speculating on what an uncertain future holds for new mother Mrs Federline, this is a thoroughly entertaining and insightful biography of one of the most misunderstood figures in pop.(less) - Britney and Christina were only friends in the Mickey Mouse Club because they were the youngest girls there. Britney could dance but Christina could sing. They would rub off on one another but Christina was always the little diva wanting to outshine Britney. After MMC got cancelled, so did Christina and Britney's friendship. They didn't stay in contact, which is why now they aren't buddy buddy...they never really were. -Before going to New York to start her first album, she had to get enrolled in a programme with the University of Nebraska to be homeschooled. She barely passed the entering exam, which she said was so hard. Then she would start her assignments, which she would then ship to Reg to finish in Kentwood and he would send them back to New York completed for her. She would claim that she was too busy to get all the work done -Lynn Harless, Justin Timberlake's Mom, was suggested by Lou Pearlman to try her hand at Managing.
