Bombs 3.Mental Error! 4.Kicking game 5.Foolish Penalties 6.Lost Yardage Plays 7.Goal Line Terms Black: cover 1 Green: cover 2 Green Tight: cover 2 Man Underneath Red: cover 3 Blue: cover 4 Orange: cover 5 AGGIE: SAM and or WILL move out to SLOT receiver BAIL: show bump and run and back off right before BANJO: CB forces outside receiver inside release and SAM or WILL force outside release of SLOT receiver; funnel receivers toward safety BUBBLE: MIKE blitz, corners play man, SAM and WILL take anything over middle, and two deep safeties BUZZ: eight -in-the-box look; move to cover 3 CB: Corner back CHEAT: outside bracket; Safety (FS or SS) cheats over to bracket outside receiver corner covers underneath deep CLOUD: CB blitz CROSS: Blitz(MIKE & SAM , or WILL) and lineman into coverage CUT:SLOT bracket; Outside (SAM or WILL) covers inside and underneath outside receiver DOG: Linebacker blitz (SAM, MIKE, or WILL) DB: (CB, FS, or SS) DE: Defensive ; outer defensive linemen DT: ; inner defensive linemen EAT: TE Bracket; SAM has TE man to man , MIKE must cover any back out backfield FS: Free Safety FIRE: Outside Linebacker (SAM or WILL) and SS shoot B and C gap FOX: used on side; DE goes in pass coverage HEAT: max blitz 9 in the box all out blitz; SAM covers TE, CB cover wide outs, MIKE and WILL back off for run after snap HEAVY: unbalanced line call; line must slide over 1 gap to account for deficit (call RHINO) INK: inside leverage on receiver JAM: tie up receiver on the LARRY: 32 coverage call for ma jor ity o f rece ivers on le ft; firs t num ber is w ide outs and second number is tight ends LOS: line of scrimmage LUCY: DT's slant rigggpht and MIKE shoots left “A” gap MAD DOG: SS blitz MIKE: Middle Linebacker MOW: MIKE and WILL blitz to zone blitz side; DE goes in pass coverage (call FOX) NICKEL: WILL is replaced with a DB; SAM drops off line of scrimmage OKIE: delay blitz until after snap OMAHA: call off blitz ONK: outside leverage on receiver OSKEE: call after PEEL: plays run and peels pack to the flat on pass PETER: call to stay away from the football; avoid touching it (used on coverage) PIRATE: loop around another lineman RALPH: 21 coverage call for majority of receivers on right; first number is wide outs and second number is tight ends RATTLER: MIKE and SS blitz “A” Gaps and WILL covers the middle zone READ: wait for 3 step drop before retreating to coverage RHINO: SAM goes up on LOS and into three point; MIKE steps over to STRONG- side “B”-Gap and WILL moves to WEAK-side “A” gap; used against heavy RICKY: DT's slant left and MIKE shoots right “A” gap SAM: STRONG-side Linebacker SKY: Switch Corners and Safeties in coverage SMASH: Outside Linebacker (SAM or WILL) blitz on the zone blitz call-side; DE goes in pass coverage (call FOX) SOLID: max blitz; nine-in-the-box look with BAIL to cover 2; corners flip responsibilities with safeties (FS or SS) SS: Strong Safety Strike: FS blitz STRONG: side of the field towards from the strength call THUNDER: twist by DT and DE; switch of responsibilities TRUCK: Double line call; SAM and WILL face TE, SS moves to outside of SAM UTAH: b oth corners t o one sid e WAR: DE widens and then rushes WEAK: side of the field away from the strength call WILL: WEAK-side Outside Linebacker ZORRO: used against trips to rotate SS on trips side (cover 3 strong with cover 5 weak)

FORCE is responsible for outside leverage on outside run play run play. Force man must push play back inside. FILL middle position between force and pursuit. R/P (Run/Pass) half back pass and out side force if primary force person if first on is blocked. Secondary man must NEVER let ball get to sideline and force ball back inside. PURSUIT inside leverage or cut back on run play. C2C (Cutback to Corner) pursue play at top speed assume runner to cut against grain and last tackler before goal line.
