Fruity, fresh nose with pleasant citrus and green apple, gooseberry and grapefruit flavour, our ever popular, refreshing Chilean Sauvignon Blanc offers a great balance of value and flavour. PRODUCER INFORMATION One of Chile's most notable producers who make consistently award winning wine and who are in control of their entire production, from vineyard to bottle. A very proud family who combine a respect for tradition with contemporary wine making techniques. VINEYARD The Ossa vineyards lie along the banks of the Cachapoal River in the Rapel Valley which crosses the Chilean Coastal Mountain Range. The vineyards 1,500 planted acres are spread out in three smaller valleys known as Peumo, Cornellana and La Palmeria de Cocalan, each known for its individual characteristics - the Peumo plantation contains the oldest vines in the estate, Cornellana has steeply sloping vineyards within a narrow and hidden valley and La Palmeria de Cocalan is where the vineyards share the fields with hundreds of ancient native Chilean palm trees. WINEMAKING This Sauvignon Blanc is from that part of the estate in the Cachapoal Valley which has gravel and alluvial origin with a fine, sandy loam texture and rapid draining. FOOD MATCH The flavours go perfectly with crab, prawns, trout, oysters and grilled vegetables, green beans, olives and peppers. https://www.miltonsandfordwines.com/browse-wines/isabella-da-silva- Updated date: 13 June 2019 sauvignon-blanc-2016 Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org).
