The Nottinghamshire County Council Calverton, Lambley and Woodborough Area (Revised) (Weight Restriction) Traffic Regulation Order 2020 (7222) THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL CALVERTON, LAMBLEY AND WOODBOROUGH AREA (REVISED) (WEIGHT RESTRICTION) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2020 (7222) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL proposes to make an Order under Sections 1(1) and (2), 2(4) and 3(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act") and of all other enabling powers and with the consent of the Secretary of State under Part II of Schedule 9 and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of that Schedule to the Act, as amended. The effect of the Order will be, in respect of roads at Arnold, Lambley, Woodborough, Calverton, Oxton and Lowdham in the Borough of Gedling and District of Newark and Sherwood, no heavy commercial vehicle shall proceed in any of the following roads or lengths of road:- Lambley Lane (between its junction with Gedling Access Road and Spring Lane), Spring Lane (and all roads off it), Main Street , Lambley (and all roads off it), Park Lane , Lambley Road , Ton Lane , Red Lane , Church Lane , Plough Lane , Stoney Bank , Old Epperstone Road (between entrance to HMP Lowdham Grange and south-eastern junction with A6097), Lowdham Lane (and all roads off it), Shelt Hill (and all roads off it), Main Street , Woodborough (and all roads off it), Foxwood Lane , Bonner Hill , Lingwood Lane , Green Lane (and all roads off it), Church Street , Lambley (and all roads off it), Catfoot Lane , Bank Hill , Nottingham Road , George’s Lane , Main Street , Calverton (between its junction with Hollinwood Lane and Bonner Lane)(and all roads off it), Bonner Lane (and all roads off it), Collyer Road (and all roads off it), Mansfield Lane (between Collyer Road and Park Road East) Park Road East (between Mansfield Lane and Crookdole Lane)(and all roads off it), Carrington Lane , Crookdole Lane (and all roads off it), Flatts Lane (and all roads off it), Park Road (between number 68 Flatts lane and Collyer Road)(and all roads off it), Moor Lane and North Green . The Order is intended to preserve or improve the amenities of the area by prohibiting or restricting the use on roads in the area by heavy goods vehicles. The previous weight limit order (7153) has been revised to accommodate the new Gedling Access Road As a result of the impact of COVID-19 and in accordance with Public Health England’s advice on social distancing and avoiding non-essential trips, public buildings such at County Hall and libraries are closed or if reopened will have restrictions in place. Summary of Principal Findings and Conclusions 1 This Retail Study was commissioned by the five Local Authorities to advise on the need for new retail development in the sub-region, and how it could be accommodated in a commercially realistic way. It was also intended to identify the hierarchy of centres in the Districts; and provide information on the vitality and viability of each town centre, applying the criteria in PPS6. The Study will form part of the evidence base for each new Local Development Framework. National trends in retailing and retail development 2 As the context for retail planning and development, a review of national trends in retailing and retail development was undertaken. The principal implications of these trends for Greater Nottingham are as follows: (a) To achieve new retail development in the smaller centres, it will be necessary to encourage non-traditional forms of development. These will either need to be mixed use schemes, probably including substantial residential elements so as to increase value and subsidise the ground floor retail accommodation, or be low cost developments such as simple free-standing stores. (b) Despite PPS6 and the sequential approach, there will be continued pressure for more out-of-centre development of retail warehouses; and pressure to relax bulky goods conditions on existing retail warehouses in the study area.

    Lowdham – Flood Risk Information and FAQs 1. Which organisation is responsible for my stretch of river? Environment Agency The Environment Agency (EA) carries out maintenance, improvement or construction work on main rivers to manage flood risk. It is also responsible for working in partnership with the Met Office to provide flood forecasts and warnings. The main river map (link below) shows which rivers are designated as ‘main rivers’. In Lowdham, downstream reaches of the Cocker Beck, to the east of the Epperstone Bypass, is main river. Other rivers are called ‘ordinary watercourses’. Lead local flood authorities, district councils and internal drainage boards carry out flood risk management on ordinary watercourses. There are 112 IDBs in England. They play a key role in reducing flood risk to over 600,000 people and nearly 900,000 properties.

    THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 The Nottinghamshire County Council (Calverton, Lambley and Woodborough Area (Revised)) (Weight Restriction) Traffic Regulation Order 2020 (7222) The NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL ("the Council") in exercise of its powers under Sections 1(1) and (2), 2(4) and 3(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act") and of all other enabling powers and with the consent of the Secretary of State under Part II of Schedule 9 and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of that Schedule to the Act hereby makes the following Order:- 1. Save as provided in Article 2 of this Order, no heavy commercial vehicle shall, except upon the direction or with the permission of a Police Constable in uniform, to proceed in any of the roads specified in Schedule 1 to this Order. 2. Nothing in Article 1 of this Order shall make it unlawful for a heavy commercial vehicle to proceed in the roads specified in Schedule 1 to this Order if the vehicle is being used:- (1) for or in connection with the conveyance of goods to or from premises situated on or adjacent to that length of road; (2) for the purpose of agriculture on any land adjacent to that length of road or for or in connection with the conveyance or haulage of timber felled upon such land; (3) in connection with the carrying out on, or on the premises situated on or adjacent to, that length of road of any of the following operations, namely– (i) building, industrial or demolition operations; (ii)
