THE COUNTY COUNCIL CALVERTON, LAMBLEY AND WOODBOROUGH AREA (REVISED) (WEIGHT RESTRICTION) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2020 (7222)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL proposes to make an Order under Sections 1(1) and (2), 2(4) and 3(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act") and of all other enabling powers and with the consent of the Secretary of State under Part II of Schedule 9 and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of that Schedule to the Act, as amended.

The effect of the Order will be, in respect of roads at Arnold, Lambley, Woodborough, Calverton, Oxton and in the Borough of and District of , no heavy commercial vehicle shall proceed in any of the following roads or lengths of road:-

Lambley Lane (between its junction with Gedling Access Road and Spring Lane), Spring Lane (and all roads off it), Main Street , Lambley (and all roads off it), Park Lane , Lambley Road , Ton Lane , Red Lane , Church Lane , Plough Lane , Stoney Bank , Old Road (between entrance to HMP Lowdham Grange and south-eastern junction with A6097), Lowdham Lane (and all roads off it), Shelt Hill (and all roads off it), Main Street , Woodborough (and all roads off it), Foxwood Lane , Bonner Hill , Lingwood Lane , Green Lane (and all roads off it), Church Street , Lambley (and all roads off it), Catfoot Lane , Bank Hill , Road , George’s Lane , Main Street , Calverton (between its junction with Hollinwood Lane and Bonner Lane)(and all roads off it), Bonner Lane (and all roads off it), Collyer Road (and all roads off it), Lane (between Collyer Road and Park Road East) Park Road East (between Mansfield Lane and Crookdole Lane)(and all roads off it), Carrington Lane , Crookdole Lane (and all roads off it), Flatts Lane (and all roads off it), Park Road (between number 68 Flatts lane and Collyer Road)(and all roads off it), Moor Lane and North Green .

The Order is intended to preserve or improve the amenities of the area by prohibiting or restricting the use on roads in the area by heavy goods vehicles. The previous weight limit order (7153) has been revised to accommodate the new Gedling Access Road

As a result of the impact of COVID-19 and in accordance with Public Health ’s advice on social distancing and avoiding non-essential trips, public buildings such at County Hall and libraries are closed or if reopened will have restrictions in place.
