Training-Salon-Price-List.Pdf PRICE LIST The Salons @ Ayrshire College The College has a range of salons across its campuses which are open to the general public, students and staff during term time. Clients can choose from a wide range of beauty, make-up, nail and hair treatments, as well as holistic therapies. Our salons use industry standard equipment and technology. Students range in level of skill and are supervised by fully qualified lecturers to ensure that they provide a high quality service. Our treatments are offered at considerably reduced rates and we use professional brands within all our salons. Students provide a relaxed, friendly and professional atmosphere and are always happy to welcome new clients. We respectfully remind you that this is a learning environment; if for any reason you are not satisfied with the service you receive we will be happy to listen to your feedback. Students receive 20% off all treatments (production of Matriculation Card required). Promotion excludes special offers and packages that are available throughout the year. The salons offer a reward scheme across each of our campuses. If you pay for five treatments you will receive 50% off your next treatment. Please pick up a loyalty card at the end of your first treatment. Additional Client Information As a learning and teaching environment please note all services and treatments are not available throughout the whole academic year and appointments may be subject to limited days and times. Regular appointments cannot be guaranteed as class timetables and requirements are subject to alterations. All appointments require a thorough consultation, this will ensure that the treatments are suitable to your requirements and are tailored to your needs. Appointments can vary in length depending on the service and we ask that you make yourself available for the entirety of the treatment. Hair appointments can last up to 4 hours. Salon Assistants will ask for a variety of details when arranging your appointment, we would appreciate your co-operation with this to ensure you are contactable if required. This is to prevent any inconvenience if we do not have a contact telephone number or email address. We ask that you give at least 24 hours notice of a cancellation where possible. As we are a training environment, students have limited experience and are here to be mentored and gain experience in their chosen field. It is therefore important that as a client you adopt a supportive attitude towards our students. Lecturers do not provide treatments, they are in class to assist, support and supervise the training of students. Tanning Clients should wear loose dark clothing, open toed footwear and all jewellery should be removed until the product has developed to ensure even application. Pedicure Clients should wear open toed footwear. Colouring/Tinting and Perming A skin patch test will be required before colouring, tinting and perming treatments. This must be carried out 48 hours prior to treatment. Unfortunately we cannot provide any treatment services to anyone under the age of 16. This rule establishes: • Minimum standards of competency and qualifications for applicants; • Registration as an apprentice, and apprenticeships to practice cosmetology, nail technology, esthetics, electrology, or makeup artistry under direct supervision; • Fees related to licensure; and • Codes of ethics and standards of practice What is the legal authority for the agency to promulgate this rule? The hairdressing qualification is made up of unit standards which cover the skills your apprentice needs to know. The manual goes through each unit standard, starting with the easiest ones and working up to harder ones. You should work through the units in the order they appear in the training manual. You’ll also notice that the unit standards in this book are divided by year level. It should take no more than 12 months to complete the units in each year. Your apprentice must complete all the units in a year level before moving onto the next year level. There is a glossary at the back to explain any words your apprentice doesn’t understand. This manual contains advice on training in general, how HITO training works, and who to ask for help if you need it. This information is in the Introduction section. As I boarded the plane when the wonderful day arrived I suddenly felt a great sense of release, from now on-it was out ofr hands. I reflected that thia couldn’t possibly happen to me—the plane could crash on the way back, I thought, and it wouldn’t matter a bit—but not before I got there’.
