PRESIDENT OF KAZAKHSTAN PAID A STATE VISIT TO CHINA On June 6, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev arrived in the Chinese capital of Beijing on a state visit. During the visit, a number of top-level meetings were held, namely: meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Premier of the State Council of China Li Keqiang, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China Li Zhanshu, representatives of Kazakhstani and Chinese business circles, as well as the joint signing of a number of bilateral documents. On June 7, N. Nazarbayev met with Chinese President Xi Jinping. "Kazakhstan is our important neighbor, as well as an influential regional power. Our bilateral relations have already become a model of relations between friendly neighbors. We are ready, together with Kazakhstan, to go forward on the path of building the common destiny of mankind," Xi Jinping said at the meeting. In turn, President of the RK noted the status of China as the largest trade and economic partner of Kazakhstan, as well as the opening prospects in connection with signing of an agreement between the PRC and the Eurasian Economic Union. In addition, N. Nazarbayev congratulated Xi Jinping on the successful holding of the 19th Congress of the Communist Party of China and re-election to the highest state post at the March session of the National People's Congress (NPC). He also invited him to pay an official visit to Kazakhstan at a time convenient for the Chinese side. It is expected that N. Nazarbayev will take part in the meeting of the Council of the Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), scheduled for June 9-10 in Qingdao, China. PRESIDENT OF KYRGYZSTAN PAID A STATE VISIT TO CHINA On June 6-8, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov paid a state visit to China. Meetings of the highest level were held within its framework, among them are meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Li Keqiang and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, Li Zhanshu. During these talks, all aspects of Kyrgyz-Chinese relations and cooperation were discussed. At the meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, S. Jeenbekov proposed to the Chinese side to consider the possibility of opening a joint factory for the production of electric vehicles in Kyrgyzstan. He said that Kyrgyzstan could become a springboard for the production and export of Chinese electric vehicles to Central Asian countries and the EEU. "I consider this area of cooperation promising from the point of view of its possible implementation within the framework of One Belt One Road Initiative", S.Jeenbekov said. In addition, a number of bilateral documents were signed, in particular, a joint declaration on the establishment of a strategic partnership. It is planned that S. Jeenbekov will take part in the summit of countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization on June 9-10. At the Shanghai Cooperation Organization meeting, it is planned to discuss issues on further development of the organization, approve documents in the political, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as in the area of security and external contacts. At the Qingdao summit, the Chinese side will complete the SCO chairmanship and transfer it to Kyrgyzstan for the period of 2018-2019 years. Bilateral meetings with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the head of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga are also expected to be held. KAZAKHSTAN - AZERBAIJAN FRIENDLY MATCH TOOK PLACE On the evening of June 5, a friendly football match took place in the capital of Kazakhstan Astana at the Astana Arena stadium, where the national football team of Kazakhstan defeated the Azerbaijani team. The match completed with a score of 3:0 in favor of the hosts. The first two goals were scored in the first half. At the 13th minute, the striker of "Astana" Roman Murtazayev scored, and with his transfer on the 14th minute midfielder Serikzhan Muzhikov scored (also stands for "Astana"). The third goal was scored by Bakhtiyor Zainutdinov (also the capital club footballer) at the end of the meeting. This friendly match became the third for the Kazakhstan national team in 2018. Previously, Stanimira Stoilova's team defeated Hungary (3:2) and lost to Bulgaria in the last seconds (1:2). The next meeting will be held by the Kazakh team on September 6, when it will host Georgia within the framework of the League of Nations, a new UEFA tournament. Other rivals in the group will be Latvia and Andorra. The Azerbaijani team is ahead of an away match in Riga with the Latvian team, in which Gurban Gurbanov's team will make efforts to fully rehabilitate themselves before their numerous fans. .
