Project Title: Feet on the Ground Organisation/Applicant: Leeds GATE Award: £11,320 Locations: & Richmond Hill, Farnley & Wortley Date: August 2016 – Feb 2017 A visual art project with the Gypsy and Traveller community in Leeds. A participatory project with artist Delaine Le Bas and Leeds Gate Archivist Vanessa Cardui exploring memories and stories of Leeds Gypsy and Traveller temporary encampments, resulting in an exhibition at Leeds Gate and inside a trailer by Delaine Le Bas.

Project Title: Music Leeds Us Organisation/Applicant: Leeds Music History Project Award: £ 10,843 Locations: City & , Killingbeck & , Hyde Park & Woodhouse Date: Sept 2016 An exhibition and series of events celebrating 50 years of music in Leeds. Taking place in the new event space at Kirkgate Market and at LS6 and Chapel FM, the project will feature screenings and gigs alongside an exhibition.

Project Title: Live@theLux Organisation/Applicant: Love Award: £9120 Locations: Pudsey Date: Sept 2016 – April 2017 Music programming and participation at CafeLux Pudsey. Pudsey community choir will work with a specialist in preparation for community concerts and Friday Night Music Club will programme local and regional talent aimed at a local audience.

Project Title: Tiny Heroes Organisation/Applicant: Daniel Bye Award: £8300 Locations: , Killingbeck & Seacroft, Calverley & Farlsey Date: Jan – Oct 2017 Tiny Heroes is a theatre show based on stories of small acts of Heroism. The stories will be collected from two weeks of meetings with individuals and groups in Armley, Seacroft and Farsley facilitated by

LS14Trust and Interplay. The stories will then be worked into a show with original music that will return to be performed in the communities.

Project Title: My Generation; Leeds New Modernists Organisation/Applicant: Casey Orr Award: £7250 Locations: City & Hunslet, Hyde Park & Woodhouse Date: Dec 2016 – Jan 2017 Photographer Casey Orr will document Leeds thriving Mod scene using the photographic equipment of the era, Casey will capture the 1960's styling of the Modern Mods using pop up photo booths at Mod club nights and the resulting exhibition will take place at the Chemic Tavern

Project Title: Spiral Organisation/Applicant: Compass Live Art Award: £7000 Locations: Beeston & Date: July 2016 – Nov 2016 Starting with a spiral drawn onto a map of Holbeck, artists Lone Twin will walk the spiral each day meeting people and businesses, navigating obstacles and collecting donated objects along the way from the people they meet for an exhibition of curiosities.

Project Title: NCDT's Festival Market - participatory activity. Organisation/Applicant: New Chapeltown Development Trust Award: £4387 Locations: Date: August 2016 – Dec 2016 Interactive and participatory arts activities during the annual Chapeltown Festival Market. Lantern and print making workshops and a parade, performances by Mimika Theatre and music performances by young people mentored by Royal Blood.

Project Title: Prospects for a future Europe Organisation/Applicant: Artist Yoke Award: £3251 Locations: Chapel Allerton, Burmantofts & Richmond Hill, City & Hunslet, Armley, , Beeston & Holbeck, , Hyde Park & Woodhouse Date: October 2016 – Jan 2017 A project to engage artists and audiences in discussing the future place of Europe. 20 artists will be commissioned to create banners to be displayed in venues across the city as an art trail. A stickerbook

will act as a guide. The commissioned banners will also form a parade at Light Night. Match for ACE funding.

Project Title: Ireland & Brittany; a shared musical journey Organisation/Applicant: Irish Arts Foundation Award: £2665 Locations: Burmantofts & Richmond Hill, Killingbeck & Seacroft, & Swillinton, City & Hunslet, Kirkstall, Headingley, Hyde Park & Woodhouse Date: October 2016 – Nov 2016 A series of performances and workshops of Irish / Bretton music and dance during Leeds Gathering, including concerts at Leeds Clothworkers Hall, Inkwell, HEART and Oblong.

Project Title: Cinderella Organisation/Applicant: Northern Opera Group Award: £2500 Locations: City & Hunslet Date: Sept 2016 – Dec 2016 The production of a community Christmas opera of a rarely performed version of Cinderella by Pauline Viardot. Free taster workshops with local choirs and roles for all abilities will be available.

Project Title: DLA Design Group Organisation/Applicant: DLA Design Award: £2125 Locations: City & Hunslet Date: August 2016 – October 2016 To celebrate International Park(ing) Day, DLA Design will create a pocket park installation in the parking spaces outside their offices. Artist collective ReetSo will animate the installation offering creative activities to engage the public and local businesses.

Project Title: Ferrante Fever Organisation/Applicant: Ferrante Fever at Leeds Award: £1338 Locations: Hyde Park & Woodhouse Date: October 2016 A literary panel event/debate about the global sucess of Neopolitan writing recluse Elena Ferrante. at Hyde Park Picture House and featuring international guests and experts including Ferrantes translator Ann Goldstein. Part of Literature Festival and organised by LivItaly.
