Our season of choral concerts starts with an invitation from the 22nd International Gilbert & Sullivan Festival in Harrogate to participate in a performance of Sullivan’s masterpiece The Golden Legend, written originally for the Leeds Musical Festival of 1886. ‘The Phil’ presented the centenary performance of this work to great acclaim under the baton of Sir Charles Mackerras as part of the 1986 LICS Season.
