The report states that "for instances of proved cheating, an automatic penalty of F in the course should be a minimum sanction imposed by youredueation the judicial system." , HaHo said the Faculty Senate passed the proposal by a two-thirds majority of the quorum. However, John Pikulski, president of the Faculty Senate, said that there were "strong reservations (in the senate) about using grades as a penalty." Pikulski added that "there was a great deal of debate about whether one could legislate against dishonesty and that one • should be graded in a course on what w.as produced." Worthen said, "I will receive that (the above) recommendation from the Faculty Senate and will approve it."
