PRAYER GUIDE WEEK OF MARCH 8, 2015 discovering your During your prayer time this week, let’s all be praying together about the following items. Neighboring Church Pray this week for the ministry and people of the Wawasee Heights Baptist Church in Syracuse and Pastor Pat Park. 6 Missionary Focus Pray for the ministry of Steve & Cheryl Winget. They serve throughout eastern Europe primarily in the role of teaching March 8, 2015 | Wawasee Community Bible Church | Milford, Indiana | Pastor Josh Weiland theology and training ministry workers, pastors, and church planters. Pray for God’s joy to be full in them as they serve the Lord Jesus. Pray for the future work of those Steve & Cheryl train, that the Holy Spirit would use them powerfully to build the Kingdom. YOU’VE GOT TALENT! Exodus 31:1-11; 35:30-36:7 Wawasee Kids Pray for Pastor Dan and other leaders as they lead our Kids Ministry at Wawasee Bible. Pray for wisdom for Dan as he MOSES, THE ISRAELITES, AND GOD AT MOUNT SINAI leads, and that he and those who serve in Wawasee Kids would have great joy in doing so! Exodus 19 – The people come to Mount Sinai in the Wilderness. Personal Prayer Items Exodus 20 – God speaks the 10 Commandments for all to hear. ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ Exodus 20-23 – Moses goes up Mt. Sinai to meet with God. ________________________________________________________________________ Exodus 24 – Moses comes back down at God’s direction to get the other ________________________________________________________________________ leaders: Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, and the 70 elders. The next day they go up and worship… then God calls Moses to come closer, and he and his ________________________________________________________________________ assistant, Joshua, go closer to worship and hear from God. ________________________________________________________________________ Exodus 25-30 – For 40 days God gives Moses further instruction for the ________________________________________________________________________ people in how they are to live and worship, including extensive instructions ________________________________________________________________________ for the construction of the Tabernacle. ________________________________________________________________________ EXODUS 31 – God identifies Bezalel and Oholiab as those with the ability ________________________________________________________________________ to lead the construction of the Tabernacle. ________________________________________________________________________ Exodus 32 – Toward the end of the 40 days, the people rebel, creating and ________________________________________________________________________ worshiping a golden calf in Moses’ absence. ________________________________________________________________________ Exodus 33-34 – Moses goes back up Mt. Sinai for another 40 days to hear ________________________________________________________________________ from God and intercede for the people. God renews his covenant with them. ________________________________________________________________________ EXODUS 35-39 – The people respond by giving of their time, talent, and ________________________________________________________________________ treasure to build the Tabernacle. _______________________________________________________________________ Exodus 40 – The Tabernacle is completed. GOD CALLS BEZALEL & OHOLIAB (31:1-11) God specifically gifted and chose Bezalel and Oholiab to use their abilities to serve him. 1:10 COMMUNITY GROUP God called Bezalel & Oholiab to a specific MINISTRY TASK. HOMEWORK Open Your Group in Prayer. Use the Prayer Guide on the next page for Suggestions. God EQUIPPED Bezalel & Oholiab for what he called them to do. 1. Go to wawaseebible.com/shape and complete the Abilities Inventory. 2. Read Exodus 31:1-11 and 35:4-36:7. What do you notice about Bezalel and Oholiab? Take time as a group to discuss your observations. God has given you a variety of ABILITIES! (31:6b) 3. “Craftsmen” are mentioned in these passages, which translates literally from the Hebrew as the “wise/skillful/experienced of heart/reason”. This What will you do with them??? points to the fact that these people had skill and abilities they had developed over time and had experience in. Where would they have learned these skills and gained their experience? (Exodus 1:11 might give you a clue.) BEZALEL, OHOLIAB, & OTHERS OBEY AND USE THEIR ABILITIES 4. According to Exodus 35:20-29 when people gave of their time, talent, and (35:4-36:7) treasure to build the Tabernacle, what else was at play besides just an individual’s ability?
