Marcus Lorendal new Managing Director at SF Bio Marcus Lorendal has been appointed new Managing Director of SF Bio. His most recent role was as a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Nordic Cinema Group. Marcus Lorendal starts as Managing Director of SF Bio as of today. Marcus Lorendal has previously worked as Group CFO for GANT, Vice President International at Arthrocare and held various senior financial positions within General Electric, including several years in England and the United States. - SF Bio is entering a new phase that requires a new kind of leadership. Marcus Lorendal has been appointed Managing Director of SF Bio since he has the leadership skills, the international background and the retail experience that the role requires, says Jan Bernhardsson, Chairman of SF Bio and President and CEO of Nordic Cinema Group. - SF Bio is a fantastic company based on our visitors and dedicated employees. In addition, the survey has identified another 14 minority acquisitions. • Zhejiang Geely’s acquisition of a minority stake in Swedish truck-maker AB Volvo was among the largest Chinese acquisitions completed in Europe and North America in 2018. • Through these acquisitions, Chinese investors have taken control of at least some one hundred subsidiaries. • Most of the identified acquisitions were made since 2014. The highest annual amount of acquisitions was recorded in 2017. • The majority of the acquired companies belong to the following five sectors: industrial products and machinery, health and biotechnology, information and communications technology (ICT), electronics, and the automotive industry. • For nearly half of the acquired companies, there is a correlation between their operations and the technology sectors highlighted in the “Made in China 2025” plan for China's national industrial development. The sectors included in the plan are of particular importance to the Chinese state. • This survey includes several companies that have not been identified as Chinese acquisitions in previous compilations of Chinese investments. • More than 1,000 companies have reported to Sweden’s Companies Registration Office that their beneficial owner is a citizen of either China or Hong Kong. AMC is acquiring the Nordic Cinema Group (NCG) from Bridgepoint and Bonnier Holding. In conjunction with the change in ownership, Bonnier Holding is selling its 30 percent stake in the company for SEK 1.6 billion. “Through its successful and substantial investments in better cinema experiences, the Nordic Cinema Group has improved profitability and contributed to the cinema’s strong position in Sweden. Now the company will have a new owner with a successful nearly 100-year history in the cinema industry,” says Erik Haegerstrand, CEO, Bonnier Holding. “For Bonnier, the increased value achieved by the Nordic Cinema Group contributes to our financial strength, and provide more room to maneuver in the future.
